Find ud af, hvad der får Melbourne til at tick på denne GPS-guidede vandretur gennem sin pulserende CBD. Jeg er Mitch, en Melbourne lokal, og jeg vil være din vært for denne dejlige lille lyd junt fra Birrarung Marr flodparken til Hamer Hall. Efter at have udholdt verdens længste låsning, er byen tilbage og bedre end nogensinde, og jeg kan ikke vente med at dele det med dig, da vi tager ind i nogle af dens mindre kendte hjørner, herunder Federation Square og Block Arcade. Undervejs vil jeg præsentere dig for et par mennesker, der vil dele nogle interessante fakta om byen og hvordan det kom til at være. St Pauls Katedral blev tegnet af engelsk arkitekt William Butterfield og blev indviet i 1891. Katedralens spirer blev bygget mellem 1926 og 1932. Katedralen er et populært sted for statsbegravelser, herunder en af Australiens mere kendte premierminister Harold Holt.
Det Australske Center for Moving Image eller ACMI er Australiens nationale museum for film, videospil, digital kultur og kunst. ACMI er det mest besøgte bevægende billedmuseum i verden. 1,45 millioner mennesker besøgte ACMI i regnskabsåret 2015-16.
Federation Square dækker et område på 7,9 hektar og har en række institutioner og bygninger centreret omkring det som Ian Potter Center og ACMI og Koorie Heritage Trust. Der er også en række caféer og barer omkring torvet. Et glaspavillon, der giver adgang til det underjordiske Melbourne besøgscenter ligger på et hjørne af pladsen.

do not book this. I went for the tour and never received the audio or the locations. after leaving a review the company called me four times at midnight yelling at me, threatening me and calling me stupid to delete my review otherwise there will be bigger problems. not only is this unprofessional, but it is not safe and I now need to change my card information. Please be careful with this company.
The tour was challenging to negotiate. We had a good internet connection, but we found it difficult to reach the locations according to the self-guided audio tour. We gave up halfway. Also the information provided about the locations was not interesting.

Our app includes several navigation tools designed specifically to address the challenges of city walking tours. You can always pause the tour to resituate yourself on the map, which shows the route and all the stops along the way, as well as your location. During the evening it is difficult because a couple of the walk thru areas are closed. Had to find our way around.
This was an excellent and affordable way to be a tourist in Melbourne. I really enjoyed the interviews with different locals and it was easy to follow navigation wise. A great introduction to some interesting places and history. Would be great to have more tours from this producer.
Easy to use, great knowledge with the ability to stop and start as you go. Allowed us to shop and dine whilst on the tour….fabulous
Easy to follow instructions on the walk. Learnt a bit about Melbourne City and the painted alley ways.
We really enjoyed our walk through Melbourne and learning all about this beautiful city. Once we got started the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I feel like we saw all the highlights. We did struggle to find the starting location because I was under the impression we were to start at federation square. You actually start at the river below, which would have saved us a bit of walking and confusion from the start.
What a fabulous way to see and hear about Melbourne. The option to pause and look further is a great option and being able to hear the whole commentary with ease is a plus.
I love Melbourne and this tour made me love it more! Interesting stories and insights of favourite places with a fun commentary… buskers, coffee innovators and Koori heritage came to life and it even took me on a short tram ride, highly recommend ❤️
