Marseille Shore Excursion: Privat dagstur til Arles, Les Baux de Provence og Saint Remy de Provence

I denne fulddagstur vil du se højdepunkterne på Arles på UNESCOs verdensarvssted på grund af dets romerske monumenter, herunder den romerske arena, et romersk teater, Alyscamps, en stor romersk nekropolis, romerske bade og kirken St. Trophime , før du slår i fodsporene til Van Gogh og de steder, der har inspireret ham kunst. Arles er et must-see. Derefter løber du op til les Baux de Provence og opdager denne middelalderlige landsby på 245 meter høj klippefyldt spor for at opleve en betagende udsigt. Les Baux er et spektakulært klippeplateau 250m oppe på himlen med udsigt syd over Alpilles og til Arles og Camargue. Det har en så fremragende defensiv, dominerende position, at der er spor af beboelse helt tilbage til 6000 f.Kr.
Det smukke og beskedne Saint-Paul de Mausole-kloster ligger ved siden af det antikke romerske sted Glanum i den fortryllende region Provence i det sydlige Frankrig.

Paco was our driver and guide and he was outstanding.He was friendly , helpful , patient and very knowlegeable . We had a wonderful trip from Marseilles to St Remy, le baux and Arles. Highly recommend this trip !

<p>Our guide could not enter the port facilities and we could not find him. Finally we called the office and we moved.<br/> The tour is interesting except that we got very lost in Arles and the guide was not very helpful.</p>
Dear Guest the port is private and to access it need verification as we did not have your full name this did make it impossible to get there in time we do apologies for the inconvenience and we will make it better for our futur guest. Concerning the tour tour Guid he is not anymore part of our company we take this remark seriously and we do not accept that our guest get lost.
<p>I think the driver doesn't have a passion towards his job. He just wants to finish the day as soon as possible. I don't recommend this driver at all.</p>

<p>On this 8-hour day tour, we were picked up in Marseille and headed to 3 places in Provence. All of these places have a rich history and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience history, art, old world charm, and scenic beauty in one tour. I did this tour with my 2 daughters aged 13 and 10.</p> <p>The first stop was Les Baux-de-Provence, which is a village built around the ruins of a medieval castle Chateau des Baux, high up on a hill. The village and ruins are completely enchanting like a fairy tale and the view is amazing. </p> <p>The next stop was the Saint Paul de Mausole - the asylum where Van Gogh checked himself into after cutting of his ear as a result of an argument with fellow artist Gaugin. You can visit Van Gogh's room as well as experience the garden in which he walked and some of the points from which he painted. If you are a fan of Van Gogh's work like I am, you would find this part of the tour very special. The cost of visiting the asylum is not included in the tour price, but the admission is quite cheap. </p> <p>The last stop was the town of Arles - again another town where you can trace the presence of Van Gogh and inspiration for some of his work. You will also find Roman monuments still standing some still being used, amongst the Provencal homes. I really enjoyed wandering through the streets of this town as it has maintained its old world charm.</p> <p>On this tour, the tour guide will provide you with key information on the sites being visited and then will leave you sufficient time for you to wander and explore and then meet back at the tour vehicle. I liked this arrangement very much as I think it allows you to find and discover and experience with your own eyes and form your own thoughts.</p> <p>Our tour guide, Djilani, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Pick-up was on time and he drove very safely. Highly recommend this tour!</p>
