Vi afhenter dig fra dit hotel kl. 4.30 og overfører dig til togstationen Ollantaytambo, hvorfra vores tog til Machu Picchu Pueblo afgår kl. 6.10 eller 6.40 om morgenen. Rejsen tager cirka 1 time og 50 minutter. Ved ankomsten til Machu Picchu Pueblo, vores transport vil vente på dig til at gå på bussen til Machu Picchu, hvor vi vil tage en to-timers guidet tur. Du får fritid til at tage billeder. Toget vil returnere dig til Ollantaytambo kl. 6:20 eller 19:00, og derefter vil vi overføre dig med bus til Cusco. Vær venlig at ankomme en halv time tidligt på Machu Picchu Pueblo togstation. Klokken 04:30 afhenter vi dig fra dit hotel og overfører dig til togstationen i byen Ollantaytambo. Her tager du toget til Machu Picchu. Du vil nyde at udforske den fascinerende Inkas hellige dal, berømt for sin naturlige skønhed, beliggende omkring 15 kilometer nordvest for Cusco, langs Urubamba floden. Dalens nærhed til Machu Picchu (kun et par timer væk) gør denne tur gennem dalen en del af din rute til den berømte Inka citadel.
Når vi ankommer til byen Aguas Calientes, vil vores transportpersonale vente på at give os vejledning, og derefter vil vi hoppe på bussen til opstigningen til Inca citadel, Machu Picchu. Turen tager cirka 35 minutter. Det er den nærmeste by til den berømte citadel Machu Picchu, en af verdens mest ikoniske turistmål. Det er det perfekte sted at opleve den perfekte kombination af natur og kultur. Det har en god infrastruktur til indkvartering og restauranter. Gå gennem det lokale marked, vil du finde produkter som tekstiler, keramik, smykker og souvenirs lavet af indbyggerne i regionen. Med de nærliggende bjerge, vil du være i stand til at opleve noget ud over et simpelt turistbesøg.
Nyd en guidet vandretur i de næste to timer. Denne oplevelse vil give dig en oversigt over de vigtigste vartegn og historie i denne gådefulde Inca center. Når du er i Aguas Calientes, vil du have fritid til frokost, (egen udgift) før du tager toget tilbage til Ollantaytambo for en anden tur tilbage til Cusco . Vigtigt: Billetter til Machu Picchu vil blive tildelt baseret på tilgængelighed på tidspunktet for booking. Den første mulighed vil være Machu Picchu Circuit 2 (men vi foreslår at reservere denne mulighed mindst 2 til 3 måneder i forvejen). Når billetterne til Machupicchu Circuit 2 er udsolgt, vil vi tildele dig enten Machupicchu Circuit 1 eller Machupicchu Circuit 3.

We had an incredible experience visiting Machu Picchu, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide, Roy Quispe Humanaco. From the start, you could tell how knowledgeable and passionate he was about the history and culture of the area. He didn’t just walk us through the site—he brought it to life. Every stop had meaning, and he did a great job explaining things in a way that was easy to understand without feeling like a lecture. He also did a great job pacing the tour. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we had time to take everything in, ask questions, and get some great photos along the way. He also went above and beyond helping us capture the experience. He knew exactly where the best photo spots were, helped line up great shots, and even took videos for us so we could actually be in the moment instead of worrying about capturing it. Those little things made a big difference and gave us memories we’ll keep forever. What really stood out was how much he cared about making it a great experience for us specifically. He was attentive, flexible, and made sure we got the most out of our time there. If you’re planning a trip to Machu Picchu, having the right guide makes all the difference. I traveled to Peru with my whole family from the USA to spend quality time together and enjoy nature, including one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu. We booked the full-day Machu Picchu tour and the Sacred Valley tour, and it was truly an amazing experience. From the very first day, the team at Tikas Peru was incredibly flexible with our needs and explained everything in detail, which made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. During our visit to Machu Picchu, we had plenty of time to learn from the guide and also enjoy free time to take lots of pictures. The next day, we explored the Sacred Valley. The driver was very friendly, and our tour guide Michael kept us informed and entertained throughout the entire trip. They were very professional, everything was on time, and the organization was excellent. The Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley tours were the best option for us. Our guides were Michael and Ferdinand and they were fantastic and very patient. We had a group of children ages 6-17 and adults and the guides were extremely patient with the children. Michael especially did a great job engaging the children with facts and stories about the sites we visited. They were informative and friendly. They did a good job adjusting the pace based on the weather and how the group was feeling. We enjoyed getting to know them. We booked with them a few months prior to our trip and they communicated well and set up a fantastic trip for us. They were accommodating and went above and beyond to help us. They were our guides for the trip itself and not just the historic sites. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!

I would like to thank Tikas Peru for their wonderful hospitality and tours that they organised for me. It was my first experience in Cusco and was my marriage anniversary.
