Også kendt som "The Whisky Route," Machame er en af de mere naturskønne ruter på bjerget. Det er en populær rute blandt klatrere på grund af den høje summit succesrate. Tillader dig at "klatre højt, sove lavt", giver denne rute din krop tilstrækkelig tid til at tilpasse sig ændringer i højden over flere dage. Machame tilbyder kun telt indkvartering og begynder ved Machame Gate ved den sydlige base af bjerget, med tilgang til topmødet lavet fra øst. Du kommer også ned ad bjerget via en anden rute og afslutter din klatring ved Mweka Gate. Klatring kan tage seks eller syv dage; Vi vil dog altid rådgive med at vælge den længere rute for den bedste chance for akklimatisering og nå topmødet.

Thanks for the nice time on the mountain in for the successful summit. Summit night was challenging, but thanks to guides we succeeded to reach the peak just in time for sunrise. This was truly a trip of a lifetime and I couldn’t have asked for a better company to do it with. Jackson was prompt with his replies to us when we were discussing booking. From airport pickup to trekking Kilimanjaro and cruising through the safari, that service continued. Jackson and his crew at Kilimanjaro Footprints were welcoming and engaged. They checked our gear the day before our six-day hiking package to ensure our safety and comfort in the mountain. Questions were encouraged on the trek up Kilimanjaro and we learned a lot about the mountain, the flora and the fauna. The porters were friendly and efficient, having our campsites setup by the time we arrived, making it easy for us to enjoy the beauty around us. Safety was a focus along the route with simple reminders about watching footing, being aware of our surroundings, and frequent check-ins about how we were feeling. This support helped us achieve our goal of reaching the summit thank you, Jackson, Godwin and the entire crew at Kili Footprints!

I did a 6 day trek up Kilimanjaro with Jackson (Kili Footprints) and his team and it was an amazing experience! The guides were personable, knowledgeable, fun, accommodating, but most importantly, they made me feel safe and in good hands. The rest of the support crew were awesome as well, and we couldn't have done it without them! The food was delicious, so good that at times you forget you are trekking a mountain, and our camp setup was comfortable and safe. You can tell that Jackson puts a lot of thought and care into the trips that he plans and it is reflected in the level of service he provides. I followed this trek with a 4 day safari, and again, he did not disappoint. From the accommodations, to our safari tour guide, everything was meticulously planned and executed. We enjoyed visiting 3 different parks, and were so excited to see "the big five". Thank you, Jackson, for this trip of a lifetime, you truly exceeded my expectations and I will be forever grateful.

This was indeed a life changing experience. Jackson and his team were the best! My flight larrived at 1 am and Jackson was waiting patiently for me at the airport and made sure I checked in before leaving. The actual climb experience was great from daily health checks, knowledgeable guides who made sure we were hydrated and well fed for climb. I can say more and more but I 100% recommend Kili footprints as your host when doing Mount Kilimanjaro climb. Thank you Kili footprints
