Først bliver du transporteret til Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings på Vestbredden af Luxor.

This portion of our bucket list trip to Egypt was less than enjoyable due to the poor deportment of our guide Mo. First of all we paid for a full day private guide, yet there were other guests on the tour. Secondly there was no water provided as stated in the description. These first two issues my wife and I let it go because we were focused on learning the history of the Valley of the Kings. The last and most important issue was that we were supposed to have 2 hours in the Valley and only had an hour and a half. To make matters worse Mo told us that in addition to the extra fee for the Tut tomb there was an extra 20 dollar charge per person for him to explain the tomb to us, even though as our guide that was his specific reason for our hiring him in the first place. He stated it was for the extra parking and time spent. Parking however is free at the Valley and we already paid for his guidance. He scammed us out of 40 dollars, charging again for a service we already paid for. He asked for the money at the restaurant we stopped at for lunch. The owner took our credit cards ran it for 40 bucks then gave cash to Mo. Shady, if this was a legitimate charge would not Viator billed us directly. Left a bad impression on us. I expected some less than honorable tactics from street vendors but not from our guide. We felt like we had no choice but to pay. He has a great little con going and made even more money from the people he added to our private tour. He did the same to them. I cannot recommend Mo or this particular tour.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to address the points you raised. First, we would like to clarify that the tour you booked was scheduled as a shared tour, not a private one. This information is clearly stated in the booking details on Viator. However, we apologize if this was not communicated clearly at the time of the tour. Regarding the water, complimentary bottled water is normally provided. If this was missed on that day, we truly apologize for the oversight. Concerning the time spent in the Valley of the Kings, the standard visit duration is approximately 1.5 hours, which aligns with official site regulations and crowd management policies. Spending additional time is subject to site conditions and visitor flow, especially during peak hours. Most importantly, we take your comments about the additional payment very seriously. No guide is authorized to request extra fees directly from guests for explanations or parking, especially for services already included. Parking at the Valley of the Kings is indeed free, and any entrance fees (including Tutankhamun’s tomb) are clearly listed and paid separately at the ticket office. We are currently investigating this incident with the guide in question and will take appropriate action to ensure this does not happen again. This behavior does not reflect our company standards or values. We truly regret the negative impression this left on you and your wife, and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention so we can improve our service. Kind regards, Management Team

Very good tour of the east and west banks of Luxor, with great explanation of each site visited and the history behind them. Enough time spent at each location. Also a very knowledgeable as well as friendly tour guide who was keen to answer questions that we had. Would 100 percent recommend this tour.

Dr. Mo took us to Edfu and as a private tour and it was fantastic. He was able to explain to us questions we have had for years. He answered all our questions and showed us the temple at our pace. He always made sure we had cold water and he would explain to us the temple from shaded areas instead of direct sunlight because we after all were in Egypt in the middle of summer and it was hot. I would not recommend anyone but Dr. Mo for all your tours in Luxor and around Luxor. He is a fantastic, amazing Egyptologist tour guide. We will be using him again and again. That is for sure.
