Booked through a travel agent - our tour guide was so informative, personable and enjoyable to walk around with. Highly recommend as a perfect amount of time to learn about Lucerne and eat and drink in the city, but nice that it doesn’t take up your entire day.
We had a fantastic afternoon exploring the city and trying chocolate, cheese and local wine. Well worth your time to book this adventure.
This was a fantastic experience, and Luis was an excellent guide! We only had a few hours in this lovely city, but this was the perfect way to get a feel for the town. Luis was very knowledgeable, and the pride he has for his home really came out as he guided us around the area. We were shown excellence in Swiss chocolate making, learned the history of the area, and ended with a refreshing stop to taste local wine and cheese. By the end of the tour we were sorry to leave Lucerne. We have already put it on our list of places we will be returning to. We highly recommend this tour!
Luis, the guide, was excellent and knowledgeable of Switzerland and the subject of the tour. But, for the cost we only had one chocolate location sampling, and one location for cheese sampling, 3 small cheese pieces only. I expected more for $185.00. The tour I took from Amsterdam was MUCH better.
Hi Sam. Thanks for your comment. We provided exactly what the tour description shows: 5 diff. types of Swiss Chocolate, 3 different pieces of swiss cheese paired with two glasses of Swiss prime wine. All in exclusive locations in small groups. We visited the castle as well. All for two hours! Of course we can not compare prices between Switzerland and other EU countries! We offer high quality products rather than big quantities. We stand for the best services and products in the entire European continent. Even though this is a tasting, by the way, the portions are very generous! We wish you a happy travel in Switzerland and we appreciate your visit!
Great tour guide with lots of patience with kids and any hurdles that may come his way! Laszlo was excellent! Would highly recommend him!
Isabella was informative and provided a good overview of the city in the history behind some of the biggest landmarks. However, she was constantly looking at her phone and neither the chocolatier nor the wine and cheese facility were prepared for us. The cheese facility actually dropped the cheese plate on the table with no understanding or description of the cheeses nor was there any explanation of the wine selected in fact they didn’t offer the wine we had to ask for it. Isabella was left to describing the cheese and she certainly wss not a cheese expert. The lower rating was more around the organization and establishments than anything else.

Luis did a great job of sharing his love for Lucerne & Switzerland. We loved the chocolate and cheese and wine tasting. He filled us with history and memories as well as gave us dinner recs. If you get Luis, you will fall in love with his beautiful city of Lucerne.

This tour was a lot of fun. The chocolate and cheese were so delicious. And it was great to try some new wine. The tour guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun. It was a wonderful way to learn about Luzern - and enjoy tasty treats and wine along the way.

This is way overpriced for what you get. If it weren't for Luis being such a great host i would go 1 star. First stop is literally a shop you can visit in almost any major city, and the stop on this tour is in the train station. Next you go to a castle to look at the city and head right back down. No real castle tour, just walking through to the patio where the staff will know you are not guests and treat you as such. Finally you have two glasses of wine and some cheese and fin. Seems like a lame way to drop almost $400 usd after conversion. Skip this. Walk it yourself.
Hi Adrian. There is not way you paid that money for the tour! i am sure that you got confused! Prices is Switzerland are high yes, but with much better quality than other countries. You have got all the inclusions! and remember: This is a Tasting! quality is much more important than quantity with poor quality! You have got: Two glasses of swiss wine per person in a private venue, three types of swiss cheese, five different types of chocolate, ride to the castle to enjoy the views where everyone is very friendly and we shared with you the history of the place. My family and I had an amazing time seeing the sites and learning the history of Lucerne and even got to enjoy some amazing chocolate, wines and cheeses. Lazlo is an a amazing tour guide. He had us laughing, was always offering to take our pictures and was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. He even offer some recommendations on places to eat and site see.
