Krakow Salt Mine Guided Tour

Beskrivelse

Unfortunately I found the whole experience very rushed. I didn’t really enjoy it and found it boring. The tour guide was great, very knowledgeable and spoke clearly. Bear in mind to leave you have to go in a very small lift. It fits 9 people and you are squashed in. Not nice at all. Had to wait quite a long time.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify that we are not the tour operator or the organizer of the guided visit itself. The tours inside the museum are conducted exclusively by licensed museum guides, and the itinerary, pace, and group organization are fully managed by the museum. Regarding the elevator, there is only one available exit system in the facility due to preservation and safety regulations. It is a small lift designed to transport visitors in limited groups, and unfortunately there is no alternative exit route. We are sorry to hear that the experience felt rushed or not enjoyable for you. We always encourage visitors to share such feedback directly with the museum, as they are responsible for guiding operations and visitor flow. Thank you again for your comments.
Easily booked tickets direct on the salt mines website. Salt mines were spectacular. Down side for me was the size of the group being too large in the tour, if you were at the back you couldn’t see what the guide was referring to when she spoke and you were rushed through to the next section before the next group that was behind you. The audio equipment could do with upgrading as you couldn’t always pick up the signal, in ear headphones were uncomfortable.
I would share this, it's an unreal experience and very enjoyable
The salt mines are a must visit and the your guides are friendly and very informative and they are more than happy to answer any and all questions
Our tour driver who picked us up and dropped us off was simply OUTSTANDING and genuinely mean that. I hope he doesn't mind us mentioning his name, Peter, he was a real gent, professional and very very friendly....if only the world had a lot more amazing people like him ! So a huge huge HUGE thankyou to him. The actual tour itself is where we had issues. So it wasn't the walking that was the issue as we expected it. The tour was led by a lady who basically lost her s**t at one point as people wayyyyy at the back of the group were saying that they couldn't hear the tour guide and the tour guide got a bit 'stern' so to speak. She snapped back clenching her fists and said if she continues to speak loud she'll lose her voice and then had a pop at the fact the headsets were not provided for her to allow everyone to hear her....which I completely agree with as it was super super hard at times to hear her. What was even more annoying was that the tour guide yomped ahead whilst we and others were at the back of the group, keeping up. The guide carried on telling the front of the group facts/stories etc without the back of the group being able to catch up first so when we caught up it was time to move on each time ! It was especially difficult with a large group of screaming school kids trailing behind making it even more impossible to hear our tour guide. Then on the parts with stair cases we were at a standstill unable to get down to where the tour guide was and again she carried on without us being there.....we definitely missed 80%+ of what we hoped to hear. 'Lunch' was a short break in a large cavern with a shop and toilets. We rushed to and from the toilet, quickly bought 2 magnets and then just when we started to eat a sandwich the tour guide announced the group was leaving....???? Again very very rushed and NOT what we expected.....very disappointed that it was so rushed. Time should be allowed for groups to enjoy their surroundings before carrying on ! Last point is that our tour guide I think told us on 3 occasions the tour was finished but yet the next section was carrying on with tour information. There was a large cavern before the lift area which had a lot of cabinets with various crystals etc which we didn't get 5 seconds to see....we basically moved on. The whole tour was rushed and felt awkward at times. It's a real really shame as our driver was exceptional hence our tip for him. Peter really is an inspiration and an asset to the tours so big big thankyou to him.
Visited here with friends for a 5 pm guided tour and the whole place were heaving with people queuing in different language rows. Entrance into the bottom section was very gruelling with 378 steps descending the whole way down. Fascinating sculptures carved out of salt were present in various chambers. Very interesting experience, but one visit was adequate owing to the tremendous ascending and descending route.Great experience to have seen this wonderful creation .especially navigating the route with uphill ascent and downhill descent in all the numerous chambers with well lit signage. Alll groups must follow the guide closely. Great gift shop and a cafeteria at the end of the tour. Exit is via two lifts as location was 135 metres down.
A must see, amazing structures hidden deep down in the mines. Not too long a tour so plenty time to do other things the same day. Suitable for people with disabilities as has lifts however for able bodied a huge amount of steps to climb down.
All of it it was amazing very interesting and the carvings were spectacular.Lots of steps but it was worth it.
I have never seen anything like this. I wasn't sure what to expect. Everything about the visit to the Salt Mines was so memorable ✨️
Excellent trip. This is a must do visit. And should be on anybody’s bucket list it is truly amazing.
