Vi henter dig ved udflugtscentret, som er ved bunden af ziplinen ved den grønne gondol. Gå heller ikke i kajakcenter. Der er to kajakforretninger i byen. Fairweather Kayaks er baseret i et af de smukkeste områder i det sydøstlige Alaska. En lille by kaldet Hoonah, Alaska. Ikke kun har du lyst til dets hjem, når du kommer hertil. Folk her får det til at føles som hjemme. Det er et svært sted at forlade efter du har besøgt. Fairweather Kayaks hovedmål er at vise dig en oplevelse, når din udflugt er færdig. Ikke kun vil du gå glad og afslappet væk fra at være ude på vandet. Vores mål er at vise dig så god tid, at du vil tænke på dit næste besøg, før du overhovedet tager afsted. Fairweather Kayaks tager dig med ind i rolige farvande, hvor kajakoplevelsen ikke er for svær, og der altid er en chance for at se dyrelivet.

Vi forlader byen Hoonah og forlader havnen. Vi rejser langs kystlinjen og padler mod en gammel skovningslejr.

ANKOM 15 MINUTTER FØR DIN TUR ER PLANLAGT TIL AFGANG, UD AF VENLIGHED TIL ANDRE, VI EFTERLADER I TIDE. Hvis dit skib er dækket ved Adventure Dock, fortsæt til land til Adventure Center. Når du er inde i Adventure Center gå gennem bygningen og udgang gennem dør nummer “2”. (Dette er tydeligt markeret). Følg skiltet på grusvejen til Excursion Hub. Den samlede gangtid er 6-8 minutter, tillad venligst ekstra tid, hvis du ikke er en hurtig gående. Vi beder dig om at tjekke ind til din tur 15 minutter før, og vi forlader i tide. Hvis dit skib er anbragt ved Wilderness Dock, gå op ad rampen og til højre. Ride den GRATIS Green Transporter Gondola (4 minutters kørsel) til Adventure Landing. Udgang Gondolen til venstre og følg skilte til Excursion Hub, 3 minutters gang. Tjek venligst ind hos Hoonah Travel Representative i den blå skjorte / jakke, når du ankommer til hub!

The team with Fairweather kayaks made sure we had a great experience. Our group was lucky enough to see whales and salmon run! I appreciate that the group respects the native wildlife and told personal stories and shared information about the land/waters. We enjoyed the tour and the longer journey!
Great time- helpful guides- beautiful scenery. So cool to watch the salmon finning and jumping. We even saw a whale breach!
We had an absolutely wonderful kayaking tour today and would like to say a huge thank you to the entire team! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. The transportation was smooth, and we received a very friendly and thorough introduction to kayaking when we arrived. Our guides and the whole team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. They explained everything very clearly and also shared lots of interesting information about the surroundings and the wildlife throughout the tour. The scenery was simply breathtaking – honestly, the landscape alone would have been worth 10 out of 10 points. On top of that, we were incredibly lucky to have perfect weather and even got to see eagles and bears in the wild. It was truly an unforgettable experience! This was my first time in a kayak, and it was a great experience. Because it was my first time, I was in the kayak with Dave, one of the guides on the tour. Dave made the experience wonderful and would certainly recommend this tour even if you have never kayaked before.
We kayaked for a full 3 hours. They provided everything we needed and even had skirts to go around us to keep us from getting wet. We saw a lot of wildlife and beautiful scenery. We were picked up and dropped off with plenty of time to return to our ship. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to see a little more of Alaska.
We were really pleased with our experience and really had a great time on the water with Fairweather kayaks. I love that they take pictures and share them via email at the end of the trip. We loved getting to see the beautiful mountains and the scenery and thought it was a great and relaxing time out on the water. The owner shared a wealth of knowledge about the area and culture and my family really learned a lot. We had hoped to see a bear but we truly understand the nature of the area and we knew going into it that it’s not guaranteed. We would highly recommend this excursion to our friends and others. Thankful for a great time in Hoonah. Hope to visit again one day
Very friendly family owned business. It was a pretty difficult paddle back but they have a safety boat if anyone needs help. Not for young kids but great for older kids that can help paddle.

He’ll pick you up at the cruise port, take you into town, and you’ll launch from a much more scenic location for a truly authentic adventure. Cody is a local, and that makes all the difference. His knowledge of the area, wildlife, and history turned a great kayak trip into an unforgettable experience. We paddled through an amazing salmon run, watched bald eagles overhead, saw fresh signs that bears had been feeding along the shoreline, and even got to hold a live crab and other fascinating sea creatures. This wasn’t just a kayak tour—it felt like exploring Alaska with a knowledgeable friend who loves sharing his home. Impressive The guide was explaining everything to us the whole time, about the wildlife, the landscape, and anecdotes. Super friendly We saw bears, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, the whales eluded us but that's nature, and they are almost always seen. The setting was spectacular and the sea was calm. Meanwhile, from a small boat they were taking photos of us that they later sent us by email. They also gave us water and snacks. We recommend it without a doubt. A 10!!
