Tag på en lille gruppe, 3-timers hvalobservation og dyreliv sightseeing tur fra Hoonah, Alaska i vores skræddersyede bygget skibe med opvarmede hytter og toilet. Hver sæson kommer humpbackhvaler i store mængder til Hoonah for at fodre på de næringsrige farvande i Glacier Bay og Icy Strait, før de migrerer sydpå igen til vinteren. Hvalpopulationen begynder at ankomme til Hoonah i maj, og forbliver i september.

ANKOM 15 MINUTTER FØR DIN TUR ER PLANLAGT TIL AFGANG, UD AF VENLIGHED TIL ANDRE, VI EFTERLADER I TIDE. Hvis dit skib er anbragt ved Ocean Landing Dock, fortsæt til land til Icy Strait Adventure Center. Når du er inde i Adventure Center gå gennem bygningen og udgang gennem dør nummer "2". (Dette er tydeligt markeret over døren.) Når du er ude, skal du følge skiltet langs grusvejen til Excursion Hub. Den samlede gåtid fra skibet er 10 minutter, så tillad venligst ekstra tid, hvis du ikke er en hurtig gående. Vi beder om, at du tjekker ind 15 minutter før, og vi forlader i tide. Hvis dit skib er anbragt ved Wilderness Dock, skal du gå op ad dokken og til højre. Ride Green Transporter Gondola (4 minutters kørsel) til Adventure Landing. Ud af Gondolen og gå til venstre, følg skilte til Excursion Hub. Hvis du ikke tager Gondola er der en sti, som du kan gå - det er en 1/2 kilometer gåtur. Når du forlader skoven, begynder du at lede efter skiltet, der siger Excursion Hub til venstre. Følg grusvejen til Excursion Hub. Tjek venligst ind hos Hoonah Travel Adventure Representative, når du ankommer til hubben! Hvis du ankommer via AK Seaplanes eller AK Marine Highway, bedes du ringe til os før din rejse for at foretage andre arrangementer.

This excursion was a fantastic experience. While it is on the pricier side, that is to be expected given the location, and it is well worth the cost for the quality of the tour. Our guide was excellent, the group size was perfectly managed, and we saw an incredible number of whales throughout the trip. Highly recommended!
A word of caution if booking this tour. What they neglect to tell you is that the price does not include a return to the excursion center. You are left in town where there is absolutely nothing. You stand in line in the rain for extended times while a couple local shuttles try to return 2 cruise ships of people 38 at a time. Save your money it’s not worth the price.
My wife and I traveled with our friends and booked the whale watching trip. The pick up was easy, the captain and her 1st mate were really friendly and engaging and worked hard to make sure we saw whales. We were fortunate to see both humpback and orcas.
This was a great excursion-small group, very informative, comfortable boat and best of all-whales! A few bears on the shore, sea lions, a sea otter-and whales! Captain Denise and Annaliese, the naturalist on board, made sure to give interesting background, stories and legends of all the places we went to. Everybody involved in getting us where we needed to be was super-friendly and the older fellow that drove us from the excursion center to the dock had good stories to share as well. Besides this excursion we highly recommend the Fisherman's Daughter in Hoonah for milkshakes! If we had time we would have stayed on their patio for a local beer but we'll do that next time. If your weather is nice, like it was for us, definitely walk back to the excursion center along the water, because it's just so beautiful.
Wonderful tour. The operator was reliable, the boat was beautiful, spotless, and comfortable, with plenty of outdoor access and enough space for everyone despite being a medium-sized group. A knowledgeable young lady on board provided interesting explanations about the city, wildlife, orcas, and humpback whales. We were lucky to encounter a group of several orcas, as well as numerous whales. The highlight was seeing a humpback whale breach completely out of the water very close to our boat, an absolutely extraordinary experience! We highly recommend this tour and would gladly do it again.
We had an amazing whale-watching tour with Hoonah Travel Adventures! Captain Denise Gray was professional, warm, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about Hoonah’s history and culture, along with many interesting facts about the local wildlife. Her passion for the area made the experience both exciting and educational. We highly recommend Captain Denise and Hoonah Travel Adventures to anyone visiting Hoonah!
This was one of the most amazing travel experiences you could hope for. Captain Denise was amazing, full of stories and lore of the area, and we were so lucky to see orcas that followed our boat and a humpback whale that breached multiple times right in front of us. Then, a bald eagle was soaring overhead and then dove and caught a fish right next to our boat. Naturalist Annalise was the perfect fit for this tour, and was as excited as we were to see these amazing creatures.
Viator description says water provided. It is not. Bring your own. Boat holds 30 guests, and our group was 30. Saw humpback whales, orcas and otters. Hard to get good photos, because so many crowded to front deck
We saw so many whales . Amazing tour!!! We got so many videos that day. We took a 5 pm tour . We were by the ship before 8 . So it was plenty of time with a 9 pm departure
Comfortable boat with excellent captain and crew member. The stories shared by the captain were entertaining.
