Blå Moské
Hagia Sophia, officielt Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, er en moské og et vigtigt kulturelt og historisk sted i Istanbul, Tyrkiet. Det var tidligere en kirke (360–1453) og et museum (1935–2020). Den sidste af tre kirkebygninger, der blev opført på stedet af det østlige romerske imperium, blev afsluttet i 537 e.Kr., hvilket blev verdens største indre rum og blandt de første til at anvende en fuldt hængende kuppel. Det betragtes som epitomen af byzantinsk arkitektur og siges at have "ændret arkitekturens historie". Fra indvielsen i 360 til 1453 fungerede Hagia Sophia som Konstantinopels katedral i den byzantinske liturgiske tradition, bortset fra perioden 1204-1261, hvor de latinske korsfarere installerede deres egen hierarki. Efter Konstantinopels fald i 1453 tjente den som en moské, og dens minareter blev tilføjet kort efter. Stedet blev et museum i 1935, og blev ombygget som en moské i 2020.

A very interesting tour which covers all the important parts of the old town of Istanbul. Can our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and great fun. He was happy to answer any questions and made sure everyone in the group was involved. The tour was very interactive and overall a great day!

Our guide Aca gave us detailed information of the different churches we visited, was thoughtful about bathroom visits and was very friendly with great English

Excellent visit with very rich and very complete explanations. The Daphne guide was perfect, always very clear in her explanations and also very attentive to the well-being of visitors. 100% recommend this visit.
