Indgangsbillet til Historic Village Herberton

Beskrivelse

Went with the family last Sunday. Very entertaining and very friendly team members! I highly recommend this place both for adults and children!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! ⭐ We’re delighted to hear you and your family had such an great visit with us. Our team takes great pride in creating a welcoming and friendly experience for guests of all ages, so your kind words mean a lot. We hope to see you again on your next visit to Herberton!
Strangely, Herberton historic village has no mention in the 2024 edition of Australia Lonely Planet Guide. I found it quite by chance ‘on-line’ while we were staying near Kuranda. It was the best discovery yet! This beautifully re-created tin-mining village has the most extraordinary collection of early pioneering equipment to be seen anywhere. Not only mining equipment, but every sort of early manufactured items from wood-working tools, photographic equipment, recording equipment, sewing, cookware, pottery collection. There were displays of an old prison, old pub/inn, church, bakery, ironmongery etc. A large collection of vintage cars and commercial vehicles. ….and much much more. An excellent (not-to-be missed) 30 minute film explained the village and its early development. The grounds are beautifully maintained by a team of staff. There is a cafe/refreshment area with toilets. We spent much of the day in the village & didn’t manage to see it all. My only suggestion: Contact Lonely Planet & make sure the village is included in next guide edition! It’s a fabulous (& educational) day out for all the family.
Thank you for such a wonderful review! We’re so pleased you discovered us and that your visit was a highlight of your time in the region. It’s fantastic to hear you enjoyed the collections, historic buildings and our introductory film. Our team works hard to preserve and present this history for visitors of all ages. We truly appreciate your suggestion about the guidebooks, too! Thank you again for your support, and we hope to welcome you back to explore even more next time.
The Historic Village, Herberton has the best display of artefacts, small and large. From each precious tea cup to the earliest John Deere tractor to the elegantly decorated homestead. The delicious outback cooking of damper with syrup, billy tea, beefy stew + more made by Bushy & his partner Shannon was outstanding. Ensure you have at least 5hrs to enjoy this historical gem. Loved it!!
Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed exploring the Historic Village Herberton and appreciated the wide range of artefacts, from delicate teacups to historic tractors. It’s wonderful to hear you loved the outback cooking by Bushy and Shannon too! We hope you’ll visit again to soak in even more of this historical gem.
We came to this not expecting too much but this place would have to be one of the best historic villages we have been to. Well set out with heaps of information, options of audio tour on your phone as well. Great food cooked in the open fire, damper was delicious! Really enjoyed our visit and the whole place is spotlessly clean! Very dog friendly, they’re allowed in all the buildings. Would highly recommend and you can get your ticket signed off to go back within 3 days.
Thank you for your lovely review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the beautifully restored Historic Village Herberton, the informative displays, and the delicious damper. We’re glad you appreciated the dog friendly approach and the three day return option. Hope to see you back again soon!
Excellent customer service, a beautiful place to spend the day and dog friendly 'wow' So many favourites but we all agreed that one of the best parts is the metal artwork, awesome 👌
Thanks so much for your great review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed your day at the Historic Village Herberton and that your furry friend felt welcome too. So glad you loved the metal artwork, it’s a favourite with plenty of our visitors!
Arrived on a quiet Monday which was great. Lots to look at, it is a really interesting 'living museum' and I would recommend you spend at least 3 or 4 hours. Most of it under some cover so great for hot/rainy days! It was dog friendly. Staff at the reception and cafe were really helpful and friendly. When you purchase a ticket, you can get a free return visit within 3 days making it great value.
Thanks for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed exploring the Historic Village Herberton and appreciated the dog-friendly spaces, helpful staff! We hope to welcome you back again!
We visited today slightly apprehensive of whether our 6, 9 and 10yo would enjoy the trip - I’m pleased to add it was a winner with everyone. The ability to walk freely around the majority of the village, the toy shop, school, dentists through to the camera shop and newspaper printers and really look closely at such a huge range of artefacts and items was what allowed them to really engage and imagine this period in time that’s been so meticulously and carefully preserved. The theatre experience was great, and the live forging demonstration with Darryl the Smithy was their absolute favourite and the highlight for all of us. Many thanks Darryl 🙌
Thank you Samantha, we are glad the whole family enjoyed the visit. And big thanks for your compliments to Darryl, we'll pass them on!
Great experience to walk through the historic village and get a feel for life during those times. Amazing collection!!!
Thank you Melissa, it does feel a bit like you entered a time machine, doesn't it!
This is a gem of a place to visit. It is most definitely a day tour even though your ticket gives you a 3 day pass to come back and finish tour. I highly recommend a visit in history.
