This was all under 3-4 hrs. Totally different than just sitting at the airport, so now I really felt that I got closer to the 'must visit again' Panama. Thx again Dan, for the fantastic and flexible, custom tour, the cold water, your kindness and intelligence and humor, and the great car shared with me. I just can recommend your service to all, even more, since for now it seems Panama's main airport became one of the most efficient one.
Dan, the tourguide was at the spot quickly, so I still could extend my time with him, what a good start! We went to the Canal first, I visited the Center and can confirm that is much better to see the ships and the tech moving closeup, not just to see the Canal from far. 10-20 USD did worth it. Then I could eat also, take photos at the big Panama sign, traveled thru the old and not so fancy but traditional quarter (which pertained at a time to Noriega), then to the more modern city 'old town', visited a church, saw the streets where the government leaders live, walked on the promenade and met with a racoon, watched the sunset from another great lookout. We really lucked out finding Daniel and Castacorp Travel. Daniel picked my husband and I up at Tocumen airport at about 9 pm. after a long day of travel. He stayed in touch with us via What'sapp as we were going through Customs, and he was waiting for us with a big smile when we got through. He drove us to our hotel and returned early the next morning to take us to the airport for a trip to Bocus del Toro. A few days later, he repeated the whole thing when he picked up friends of ours, who we later met in Boquete. Four days later, he picked all four of us up when we returned to Panama City and took us on a great tour of the historic district, the Panama Canal and made extra stops to show us the sites. He escorted us to our next stop at Gamboa resort and whisked us back to the airport for our flight home 5 days later. To say there were a lot of moving pieces, is an understatement. Daniel was on time, friendly, so knowledgeable, smart and a delight. We felt completely taken care of. Don't hesitate to use Daniel and his company for any of your travel needs in Panama City.
We were looking for a last minute tour that could fit in with our itinerary in Panama as only had a day so I messaged Daniel in the evening and he responded quickly asking us what time and what we would like to see the following day. Very open honest communication and we were given clear advice which helped us plan our 4 hours of private transport. Our driver Ceser was a lovely man and very friendly and helpful with a bottle of frozen water which was gratefully received. We had 2 pick ups as our party was staying in 2 different places and we went to the Panama canal first then to Acorn Hill which again Daniel advised us was a walk but worth it for the view as a nice day. Ceser then did a driving tour on the Amador causeway which due to traffic took him longer than expected but he was such a nice driver he still enjoyed doing it before dropping us back which is why I would highly recommend this company as two way communication helps everyone and really nice people. Thank you guys for a lovely trip.
