We did the 5 days salkantay trek with yojhan as our guide and he was awesome! His knowledge of history and nature was extraordinary! He was very friendly, always with a smile and good vibes! He cared a lot about us and our interests . We always felt safe during the beautiful hikes . I can highly recommend him as a guide , he made our trip very special! Our chef avelino and his assistant clever cooked extraordinary meals for us! We will never forget our time in peru thanks to this team!

We had a great time on our Salkantay trip. The Cabins, Domes and Hobbit House were very comfortable to stay in. The food provided was very good and VERY plentiful. I often worry about having enough food, but that was not an issue. Our guide Ethel was wonderful and had a great sense of humor! We (my wife and I) decided we didn't want to do the last day of hiking and Ethel made all the arrangements for us to make that happen. She was a wonderful guide in Machu Picchu as well.

Absolutely fantastic!! Cannot rate it high enough. Our guides Bernie and Roger were so knowledgeable. They helped us understand the history and the mystery of Peru. And they were also a ton of fun. The trek itself was challenging but also so rewarding. When you make it to the top of the Salkantay Pass you will feel like you really achieved something great.

Wilbur Ocon was an amazing guide, knowing the ins and outs of the history through the trek and very knowledgeable and friendly. Truly recommend. The food was incredible and authentic, thew accomodation was great. I seen many pther trekkers with other companies and it made me very glad I was with Alpaca and Wilbur Ocon.

We had the best guides - Bernie and Roger did not just guide us on the trail, they educated us on the culture, religion and history of Peru, creating a sense of connection between us and this amazing country. The experience was heightened by the food that our chef Wally served. Every dish was exceptionally prepared and beautifully delivered. This team loves what they do and it shows. We love Peru and we hated to have to leave our new family!!

What’s an amazing experience on a 5 day hike. The guides, cooks and company was well prepared and knowledgeable. Bernie, Roger and Wally were amazing in every way. We will definitely book again using these three.

Had an amazing time hiking the salkantay trek. Was a great challenge but was made easier with great chefs, porters and guides that made everyone feel like a family. Ricardo and Jhohan were always motivating and thoughtful as we dealt with the altitude. Would highly recommend this to anyone as it was an amazing experience!

Tremendous experience - this was a bucket list item for us and Alpaca Expeditions did not disappoint. Our guide Fernando was outstanding - friendly, knowledgeable, fun! He was very flexible with our itinerary and adjusted the hikes to our speed and comfort. He was very well organized and prepared us well for each day's activities. It was quite a workout, given the altitude and challenging Salkantay trail. We spent just 1 day in Cusco before the trek, and another day would have been helpful to acclimate to the altitude. Fortunately, we had no serious altitude issues, and the weather cooperated. The scenery in the Andes was simply spectacular. We had great food from our chef Marcelino and his assistant Crisostomo. They even surprised us with a delicious cake for our anniversary. We can't say enough superb things about Fernando and his team - a very memorable experience!!
