Turen starter med en hotel afhentning efterfulgt af en 30 minutters kørsel til 1968 Arenal Volcano Park, hvor du vil starte din aktivitet, en 2.30 timers vandretur til basen af Arenal Volcano. Vandreturen er ret nem og det meste er over flad jord. Målet er at komme til et tørt lavafelt fra 1968 udbrud (denne del af stien er stenet), se det, tale om det og give dig al historien om Arenal vulkanen.
La Fortuna Waterfall er et fantastisk naturligt sted, omkring 70 - 75 meter højt. For at komme til bunden, skal du gå ned og derefter klatre tilbage op omkring 500 trin, men det er helt værd det. Der er sikre steder, hvor du kan svømme og nyde det friske vand. Dette er den perfekte blanding af eventyr og tropisk skønhed i Costa Rica.
Du vil tilbringe omkring 2,5 timer gå gennem regnskoven, krydser 6 hængende broer og 10 regelmæssige over en 3,2 km sti på Mistico hængende broer. Undervejs får du fantastisk panoramaudsigt over vulkanen og hele økosystemet omkring skoven. Bare husk, dette er en tropisk skov, så regn er helt sikkert en mulighed - så bring noget vandtæt!

A wonderful experience! Everything about this tour was worth it! We went during rainy season and it did rain on us but the experience was unforgettable and would definitely do this again!
Great beautiful experience our tour guide cat was amazing!
We caught an uber from our hotel to get here rather than doing an organised tour. Ubers are very accessible and cheap in La fortuna. There are 500 steps down to the waterfall which is beautiful. We couldn’t swim in the waterfall but were able to do so a bit further down the river. 500 steps back very manageable On site showers/cafe/gift shop. Getting Uber back at 4.30pm no problem either

10/10 experience! I do recommend being a little bit in shape because you will be going up and down a lot, especially in the first half of the trip, but everything is a reward on it!
Amazing experience!!! Our tour guide Wilber was extremely knowledgable on everything we saw and made this experience worth while. Got to see so much wildlife (monkeys, poisonous frogs, snakes, sloths, etc). Wilber even stopped the van when he spotted a sloth in a tree on our way to lunch so we got to step out of the van and take some pictures! Also got to meet/enjoy this experience with some cool people along the way :) our group was small so it felt like more of a special experience. Wilber made sure we all felt comfortable and checked in on all of us individually throughout the entire day. It may sound like a lot in one day, but by the end of the entire excursion my friend and I didn't want it to end! Book this if you're only in La Fortuna for a limited amount of days. You won't regret it!
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and interacted with every member of the group and was attentive to group members that had injuries and adjusted the pace of the group well. It was a fun trip , but your calves will hurt for days after doing the waterfall lol.

We had a wonderful tour with our tour guide Brian. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time which is completely out of their control. They had still fun time hiking the 1968 lava flow and despite the entire volcano being obstructed by clouds the entire time we still saw a lot of beautiful rainforest and lava rocks. We were blessed with 3/4 view of the volcano upon descending when the clouds started depart and the sun came out. Brian and his team were patient enough to allow us to get enough photographs. We then moved on to the hanging bridges mystical park where we saw so many different insects and animals and reptiles in a beautiful rainforest and enjoyed crossing six hanging bridges. Though it continued to rain sporadically, the amount of wildlife that we saw that Brian captured through his scope and on his iPhone was spectacular and he shared these photos with the group at the end. He had a wonderful lunch at soda Fortuna. And then moved onto the La Fortuna waterfall. We were hit with torrential Lorraine as we descended towards the base, but it made for a unique experience with a very forceful waterfall. We do not have time to swim, obviously, because of the amount of rainfall and came up to 500 stairs and was allowed time to rest at the top at the bar and coffee shop. But it was all worth it because at the end the clouds had dumped all their moisture on the ground and the odd Anil volcano was seen 100% without obstruction by the end of the trip which was a special blessing because it was covered for the remaining four days that we were there transportation was comfortable and convenient, and though I forgot the name of his driver, I appreciate being able to leave our valuables safely in the van when we are out on excursions I would definitely recommend this trip.
This was a fantastic tour, it covered so many things. Our tour guide, Wilber, was personable and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with us. He made sure to engage with everyone in our group. Our driver made each part of our journey comfortable and safe. The lunch stop was delicious and such a cute place. Thanks for a memorable day!
