Vi starter ved UNESCOs verdensarvssted, Þingvellir, hvor Althing blev oprettet omkring 930, men Thingvellir er stedet, hvor de to kontinenter, Europa og Amerika mødes.
Vi besøger også den geotermiske aktive dal Haukadalur, hvor blandt andet de varme kilder Geysir og Strokkur er placeret. Gå en tur rundt i området og fang et udbrud eller to. Her kan du tage en kop kaffe eller en let snack, hvis du er sulten, og benytte toiletfaciliteterne, inden vi går videre.
Det mest ikoniske og elskede vandfald i Island med Hvítá-floden, der strømmer ned ad trappen, der ligner et af de mest kraftfulde vandfald i Europa. Gullfoss er billedskønt på alle årstider.
Derfra går vi til frokost på den berømte Greenhouse Tomato farm, hvor du får serveret frokost – inkluderet i din tur – vælg mellem deres verdensberømte tomatsuppe, raviolipasta eller grillet tortilla pizza samt spis alt hvad du vil af det bedste og det lækreste hjemmebagte brød, du nogensinde har fået. An exceptional experience. Some spectacular sights. The unforgettable nature of the tour was, to a large extent, down to the outstanding quality of our guide, Gretar. His knowledge of all things Icelandic, including, for example, the geology, history, culture and political views and beliefs was impressive. He also took some great photos!
Grétar was our tour guide he did a great job talking with us about Icelandic history and answering many questions. Lunch at the tomato farm was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend this tour.
Gretar was absolutely amazing! He was very clear about the schedule (where we were going, how long it would take to get there, what we would do at each stop). He was incredibly knowledgeable about Iceland history - we were firing questions at him the whole day and he not only had answers but statistics for almost everything. He also took photos of us and the scenery the whole day, so we could truly just take everything in and enjoy. Would highly recommend. Truly a white glove experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour, which is an incredible value for the price paid, to anyone with a day to spend seeing some of the most beautiful areas in the country.

This tour was amazing. I had read reviews raving about Gretar, and he was as good as they said. He picked us up timely and gave us all a clear description of the day’s itinerary including where we were going and how long it would take to get there and how long we would spend at each site. He was very patient answering everyone’s questions. He knows so much about the land and the history of Iceland and I learned an incredible amount of interesting and useful information. I can’t imagine going to those sites without having a guide like Gretar to help you fully understand what you are looking at and the context and history. He gave people recommendations for other activities and meals. A very cool feature is that he takes photos of everyone throughout the day and then uploads them at the end of the day for free. He is an excellent guide, and the trip was incredible. My favorite was Gullfoss Falls but I loved everything, and the tomato soup and unlimited bread at the end was perfect. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Gretar was the perfect guide for our mother-daughter tour of the Golden Circle. We were able to see all of the highlights: including the ridge between the two plates an active geyser, and stunning waterfalls. Lunch at the Tomato Farm was beautiful and warm and delicious. The bread and butter sprinkled with tomato salt is not to be missed. Overall, the day was relaxed and had the perfect low-key vibe (which was perfect for us). Mission accomplished on an amazing trip to Iceland. Thanks, Gretar!

This was a great experience! Gretar was a fantastic guide that gave us a wonderful experience. Gretar is very kind and taught us a lot about each place (while also capturing some great photos). I feel like we had plenty of time at each stop and LOVED eating at the tomato farm. Being surrounded by warm lights and greenery really warms the bones up after a fun day of exploring the golden circle! I highly recommend!
