Oplev Donostia / San Sebastians historie, højdepunkter og skjulte historier. Denne vandretur er perfekt til første gang besøgende, der ønsker at forstå denne by, ikke bare tick off landemærker. Vi vil udforske byens historiske hjerte og afsløre de begivenheder, mennesker og mærker, der formede den til den by, du ser i dag - alt bragt til live med engagerende fortællinger, billeder, kort og gamle postkort. Jeg fokuserer på historie, der er klar, interessant og mindeværdig, snarere end lange lister af datoer eller navne. Efter at have boet her i 22 år, elsker jeg at vise besøgende de gader, historier og hemmeligheder, der gør denne by unik. Følg med til at opdage det væsentlige i denne vidunderlige baskiske by. Jeg kan ikke vente med at vise dig rundt!

Vi starter turen ved at opdage byens oprindelse, mens vi ser ud over den fabelagtige bugt La Concha.
Oplev oprindelsen af det ikoniske rådhus (udendørs besøg)
Vi flytter videre til den gamle bydel via havnen og lærer om, hvordan det var i middelalderen. Vi vil også opdage katastrofen i 1813, lære om det baskiske sprog og lokale sport og skikke.
Efter at have forladt den gamle bydel, vil vi gøre vores vej til at se Kursaal convention center (udendørs besøg) og opdage hemmelighederne i den østlige del af byen.

Dave provides an entertaining and detailed account of the history of San Sebastián, woven into an enjoyable 2 hour stroll around the town. Dave was excellent company, had prepared well and ensured we made the most of the time. We would heartily recommend him.

This tour is a must to enrich your experience. Dave provides context to everything from the terrain and the architecture to the street art, and the dining scene explaining the history and life of Donostia with clarity and enthusiasm. His magic book of images and maps is very helpful. Highly recommend doing this your first day to help plan the rest. His recommendations on restaurants, pintxo bars, ice cream and the true Pastel Basque are much appreciated.
