Machu Picchu is Overrated
Our tour guide was in too much of a hurry, Only spent 1 1/2 hours at Machu Picchu. The history and geology presented for explanation for pre-Inca times is inadequate and misleading. The Inca did not build such a structure. On return to Lima train station a carriage derailed and there was a 3-hour delay

According to the information provided by our guide, the guided visit lasted approximately 2.5 hours, not 1.5 hours. The tour was conducted at a comfortable pace, taking into consideration the walking rhythm of the group, and our guide accompanied you throughout the visit while providing explanations along the route.
We are sorry to hear that you felt the historical and archaeological explanations did not meet your expectations. Interpretations regarding the construction techniques and the different cultural periods associated with Machu Picchu can sometimes vary, and we appreciate your perspective. Regarding the return journey, there was indeed an unexpected incident involving the train service that caused a delay of approximately three hours. The train service is operated by PeruRail, and unfortunately this type of operational incident is outside the control of Illa Kuntur Travel & Wellness. Nevertheless, our team remained in communication and attentive to your situation throughout the delay, ready to provide assistance whenever necessary.
Once the train journey was completed, our transportation service was waiting for you and safely transferred you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Amazing!
We had the most incredible experience on a Machu Picchu tour with our guide, Yeni, and I cannot recommend it enough. Yeni was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history and significance of Machu Picchu but also incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire journey. Her passion for the site was evident in every detail she shared, making the experience both educational and inspiring.
The tour was excellently organized, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable day despite its length. We were picked up promptly and comfortably, and all transportation was seamlessly arranged, allowing us to focus on soaking in the breathtaking views and rich history. Great Experience!
We were so impressed by the planning the company took (Ricardo) to coordinate our trip from Cusco to Machu Picchu and back. There were so many moving parts and they took care of everything! Every time we got to a point in the experience were we were starting to get confused there was another person from the company there to guide the way. On top of that, the guided experience itself was outstanding! Our guide was truly passionate about the site and taught us so much about Inca and Peruvian culture and history.

Getting to know the majesty of Machu Picchu
Yeni, our guide on the tour of the Majestic Machu Picchu, was a very kind, attentive, and approachable person. She helped us understand every detail of the experience and knew how to convey her knowledge about our Inca ancestors to us in a clear, enjoyable, and sensitive way.
