Halvøen falder inden for Table Mountain National Park, som er verdenskendt for sin utrolige biodiversitet. Kap det Gode Håb-naturreservat breder sig ud over det klippefyldte næs. Det er et beskyttet naturreservat og hjemsted for en række antiloper, den sjældne Cape-bjergzebra og andre unikke dyrearter. Det er også et paradis for havfugle, med 250 registrerede fuglearter fundet i reservatet. Cape Point er den meget spidse ende af Cape Peninsula. Det er et øjeblikkeligt anerkendt vartegn og bliver ofte forvekslet med at være Afrikas sydligste spids. Der er to nationale kulturarvsmonumenter på Cape Point, der blev bygget for at ære verdens mest berømte opdagelsesrejsende: Vasco da Gama og Bartolomeu Dias (som var den første europæiske opdagelsesrejsende til at runde Cape Point i 1488).

Vi tager til fiskerlandsbyen Hout Bay, over den spektakulære Chapman's Peak Drive og ind i den maleriske kystby Noordhoek. Den naturskønne halvø-kørsel tager os til det storslåede Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve og Cape Point. I Hout Bay har du mulighed for at tage på en bådtur til Seal Island (ikke inkluderet i prisen) eller slentre rundt i den populære søfartshavn og havnen, hvor du bliver venner med de venlige sæler, der dukker op for et klap. Ved Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve besøger vi det berømte Cape Point Lighthouse. Du har mulighed for en kort, men lidt stejl gåtur på en slidt sti til fyret eller du kan tage kabelbanen til toppen. Udsigten er spektakulær, og du kan muligvis se hvaler og delfiner i bugten.
Vi slutter morgenen af i Simons Town, som er en legendarisk flådeby med udsigt over False Bay. Du har mulighed for at besøge den berømte pingvinkoloni ved Boulders Beach (adgangsgebyr er ikke inkluderet i prisen) eller bruge tid på at slentre ned ad den historiske hovedgade i Simons Town og kigge ind i dens maleriske butikker og museer. Vi har en bid mad og drikkevarer (for egen regning) på Simons Town Mariner Wharf.
Efter frokost går vi tilbage mod Cape Town og Kirstenbosch Botaniske Have, hvor vi rejser langs False Bay-kystruten. Vi passerer gennem kystbyerne Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St James og Muizenberg. Gaderne er fyldt med finurlige boghandlere, vintagetøjsbutikker, surfbutikker og en samling af populære restauranter og delikatesser ved havet. Vi stopper undervejs for at vandre i gaderne, shoppe lidt, se surferne i Muizenberg, se hvalerne, hvis det er hvalsæson, og for at tage billeder af de berømte farverige strandhytter fra Victoria-tiden.

We had a wonderful day on the Mo Afrika Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour, and we were truly blessed to have Alfred as our guide. The tour was not what we expected. We didn’t do many of the stops that’s were planned on the itinerary which was a little bit disappointing. Our guide was okay although he seemed agitated and threatened to leave some of the clients if they were even a couple of minutes late to the meeting spots. Overall the tour was not what was advertised.
Amazing breathtaking tour, I was by myself with a very qualified and nice guide, Sentle, who drove and took me to the most beautiful places.
Great tour to get a quick taste of the beaches, peninsular and back into the city. Really not enough hours in the day to see and experience what this beautiful place has to share with us.
Abdoul was excellent. His knowledge about history was outstanding. Besides that, he is familiar with all local persons and locations. GREAT experiance !

A tremendous day with MoAfrika tours and my guide for the day, Sentle. Early start to beach then a wee cruise to Seal Island then to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, a delicious lunch at Saveur and the best part of the day for me at Boulder Beach penguins. Guide Sentle was accommodating, friendly and knowledgable and whilst a long day, it was superb. Highly recommend this tour to everyone, stunning scenery and wildlife.
