Forlad Luxor tidligt om morgenen til nord for at besøge atw store templer. Abydos tempel, som blev bygget af Seti 1 og afsluttet af RamesesII, derefter kør tilbage (syd) for at besøge det mest bevarede tempel i Egypten Denderawhich dedikeret til gudinden Hathor.

Mød din tour egyptolog, der vil eskortere dig til Dandara, der ligger 85 km nord for Luxor.
Fortsæt derefter til Abydos by, 135 km fra Luxor. Der besøger du Abydos-templet, hvor den gamle egypter troede på gud (Lord of the underworld) for at blive begravet der. Templet blev bygget af kong Seti I, og afsluttet af kong Ramsess II, kendt som Seti tempel. Malerierne af guderne og faraoerne på væggene i Osiris-templet i Abydos er blandt de smukkeste bevaret i Egypten. Når du kommer til disse steder, kommer du forbi lokale landsbyer og majestætiske landskaber til floden Nilen og markerne.
Efter at have afsluttet din tur, kør tilbage til Luxor.
I Dandara skal du besøge det smukke tempel for skønhedsgudinden Hathor. Templet har et massivt stentag, underjordiske gange og et storslået sjældent relief af dronning Cleopatra IV og hendes søn kejsersnit. Hathors tempel, det var kendt som 'Sistrums slot' eller 'Pr. Hathor' - Hathors hus.

I probably said something very similar in my last review of this tour, Abydos is a truly magnificent place to experience. Dendera is also a sight to see but Abydos is the star of the show. It will speak volumes of this sight that we returned a few months after we were there just in June. We met our excellent guide again, and personal friend, Hossam Rashwan. The place itself had of course not changed nor actually the company except for a family member we brought with us this time around. To be honest though I could repeat that experience with that company again and again and I'd not tire of it. So without spending too much time on it I'll just say, please visit Abydos if you can and when you do seriously consider having Hossam Rashwan guide you around.

We stayed in Luxor for 4 nights and during our time there we had our guide, Hossam Rashwan, and our driver, Ahmed Sayed, taking us to see the sights and spending time with us every day. The tour to Abydos and Dendera was truly amazing. Both temples are well worth a visit but Abydos stands out, it's a moving place to see and experience. Hossam is a great guide, knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of the sites and their histories as well as being an excellent story teller. I would truly recommend to travel with our duo Hossam and Ahmed. It's not just that that they took us to see the monuments and sights we wanted to see it's also that they were genuinely good people to be around. We went to local coffee shops together just to have a drink and talk about life. It was wonderful to visit those sights and wonderful to meet Hossam and Ahmed. I hope you will also have the same chance!

Abydos and Dendera temples are not easy to reach but they worth an effort! The daytrip means about 6 hours in a car so we were happy to have a good Japanese car and careful driver with us. We started 2 hours later than these tours normally do but were in time to see everything thanks to Love Egypt and Mr. Hass, who actually joined us to ensure smooth trip. The price was great too.
