Great experience with Jennie our shopping tour guide. Went above and beyond to ensure all details were handled prior to start of shopping experience. Jennie is very hospitable and speaks good English. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with her. Jennie is a true gem!
My wife and I joined Jennie's tour on a recommendation from our hotel concierge and it turned out to be the highlight of our entire Vietnam trip. Jennie arranged comfortable transport between every stop and never once made us feel rushed — and yet everything was completed with remarkable speed. At the pearl boutique, she explained the difference between keshi pearls, baroque pearls and freshwater pearls with the confidence of a gemologist. My wife fell in love with a pair of golden baroque pearl earrings on silver hoops — completely one-of-a-kind pieces designed by a local designer who clearly pours her soul into her work. For myself, I purchased a stunning hand-embroidered lacquer painting — cranes against cherry blossoms on a deep black background. What impressed us both was that despite being custom pieces, everything was ready for collection on the same day — Jennie had coordinated the whole timeline seamlessly so we never had to worry about logistics. If you like shopping especially for specific things you might not find on your own Jennie is your girl. I WhatsApp her before I arrived about some particular pearls I wanted and she even had a tailor me us at my hotel. It’s a Great service. Highly recommend Thanks Jennie !
Highly recommended. We contacted Jenny after striking out on our own with some shopping wish lists, and on very short notice she pulled together a custom itinerary and found us just the right places to locate high quality trip mementos. Tour price included a beverage at a cafe, as well as taxi transport between locations. She made it very easy and fun!
This was the most amazing start to our Vietnam adventure. Jennie was so warm and friendly and was able to create a really unique experience for us. I was looking for art and fine handicrafts and Jenny took me to a few high-end workshops and an art gallery. Specifically, we went to a lacquerware workshop and an embroidery workshop, at both of which I could watch the craft being made. Jenny was truly enthusiastic and very patient while I looked at the wares and decided what to purchase. Jenny also graciously walked with me in and out of many small souvenir shops to look for small items and gifts. She was incredibly patient and kind throughout, and we chatted the whole time. It as like making a new friend! Jenny also answered my questions about Vietnamese culture and language - she is very knowledgeable and happy to share her knowledge. Also, it was raining the day we were together, and Jenny called and paid for taxis to take us from place to place. She even insisted on holding her umbrella over me as we went in and out of the souvenir shops. Jenny and I spent five hours together and it was great fun! I highly recommend this tour!! I sent my shopping list to Cherry before traveling to Vietnam. She visited various shops researching the gifts I wanted. She ordered things that would take time to make or ship to Hanoi. The shopping tour was organized, transportation arranged, and the shops we visited had excellent representations of the desired gifts. Without Cherry I would have wandered around Hanoi hoping to find good quality gifts. Instead I felt assured that I was getting the best price and quality available. Her knowledge of the city and culture is extensive. Worth every penny for the tour. You will have a good time, learn about the city from a local, and enjoy Cherry’s company. My highest recommendation.
