As stated in the description of the adventure, be sure to wear comfortable shoes some of the inclines are steep, and the pavement is unpredictable . Also bring water and snacks.

Wonderful tour Bart was our guide he was informative helpful and patient. Loved the ease of the pick up and drop off points. The van was clean and fresh.

Had an amazing tour with Joao in Quinta da Regaleira and Pena Palace! He was very knowledgeable about the region’s history and learned alot from him. Also stunning sights and beautiful architecture that are so unique to Sintra. Highly recommend!!

This was a delightful tour. Very organized, great historical information and thoughtful tour guide. Bart was absolutely wonderful. The palace tours would have been difficult to navigate independently. Recommend this tour without reservation.

Pedro was an excellent guide with a ton of informations and history on the sites. He made sure to give us time, offer to take pictures at good photo op sites and made it fun. I’m glad I booked the 4 hour time frame and nothing longer, this was plenty to see it all and not be rushed. And it’s a lot of hills as usual in this area! Pedro gave us breaks while he explained things, and in the shade for our hot day. Both Pena Palace and Regaleira were great to see and glad I included on this trip to Lisbon

Our family loved the tour! Our tour guide, Robinson, is very knowledgeable and specialized in plants. We hot an immersive experience learning about the history, design and details about all the interesting plants the two parks have. The tour is well paced, and runs more than 5 hours. It is a lot of walking but we are happy for everything we experienced during the tour.

Convenient meeting location. Our guide, Alex was very knowledgeable and friendly. His van was comfortable and had a/c. We did do a lot of walking but Alex gave us free time throughout the tour for bathroom breaks or to buy a drink or snack. The palace was incredible with amazing views. It was very crowded so I'm glad we only toured the exterior of the palace. The historic town of Sintra, where the Queen's Palace is located, was quite charming. Alec recommended a great cafe for espresso and pastries which we enjoyed during our break, Quinta was fascinating! So many interesting things to discover during the tour.

This tour was fantastic in one word. Sintra, with its beautiful castles and breathtaking nature, has become unique in every way and an unforgettable experience. In addition to all the splendor and pomp, guide Bart contributed enormously with his knowledge, experience, and humor. We have had various guides in the past, but Bart is what a guide should be. He told in very good English all the ins and outs about the castles and their former inhabitants, but he also knew a lot about the very varied and impressive nature around them. Besides his knowledge and skills, he is very friendly, relaxed, and customer-oriented. He arranged a taxi at his own expense for someone who was lame and for whom the last steep stretch of walking was just a little too much. Bart also asked at the start of the tour if we were bound by time, but no one in the group had other plans, and in the end he entertained us for 5 hours with his stories and trivia. One hour longer than the original 4-hour tour. We were all neatly dropped off at the train station with the bus. It was a super experience. 1 advice: never visit Sintra without a guide! A guide, certainly like Bart, adds so much added value and makes the experience exponentially more impressive and better.
