This was an organized tour however, the title of the tour is misleading. There was no meditation with the monk. It was basically a 15-minute chat. We were warned about buying the offerings ahead of time which was nice so we were prepared. It's not a big expenditure so wasn't an issue. It was nice meeting with the monk but the tour is definitely overpriced. Consider the price as what a would be for a private transport and when I say private, it was a small little car that can barely fit four people. The driver was very pleasant and went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. Not sure I would recommend this tour to most.
Thank you for your review we will use that to improve our service for the next time. Please bring your family, in the next visit. We'll be very pleaser to service you again. Warm Regards,
I have mixed feelings about this trip. The temple on the mountain and the waterfall is really beautiful and the chat with the monk about meditation was very interesting (although short). However, the tour needs some improvements in terms of logistics and communication. First, although the tour guide Kat was friendly, her Enlgish wasn’t very good, so some communication was a bit difficult. For example, it wasn’t clear that I had to bring cash to pay for the food at the market. I think this should be included in the tour fee, or explained properly and perhaps let us choose, carry and present the food for the monk instead of just asking us to pay without much explanation. I was hoping for a group tour, but I was the only one on the tour that day and we finished quite quickly (I had about 1.5hrs at the temple, including the chat with the monk, a short mediation and walk around the temple grounds and waterfall (very beautiful). With some improvements, this could be a really good activity as the setting of the temple is quite stunning.
Kat was amazing!!! Extremely informative, compassionate, friendly and showed me the time of my life. I would do any tour she is guiding!!! She’s a very special human with a great deal of love for her country. You can’t go wrong with Kat by your side. Thank you so much.
A lovely relaxing morning. I loved speaking with the Buddhist monk about meditation.. My guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.
Siripan was an awesome host - she taught me meditation at my own pace and gave me some really great guides to improve my techniques, as well as some great historical/cultural facts about Thailand. And the temples were beautiful; highly recommend!
I thought long and hard on whether or not I should give a review on this. I am a life-long Buddhist spending decades in USA and wanting to reintroduce my kids to monk-guided mediation with proper principles and good environment. The monk himself was fine and very impressive with communication skill and knowledge. However, everything else that could have gone wrong in this tour did go wrong spectacularly…. 😞 The guide must have been her day 1 on the job with very limited language skill and procedural knowledge of this tour. The guests including me were left bewildered of what to do next after one thing completed. She didn’t know where the bathroom was in the temple. She didn’t know where we should sit down and do meditation. The location was great and scenic. But, instead of guiding us to meditate by the waterfall as shown in the advertisement, she let us sit on ant-infested location. Ants were climbing on my body the whole time I was trying to meditate…. I was traumatized. She didn’t know where we should walk to from one place after another leaving guests separated and wondering around aimlessly without knowing what they are seeing and why they were there. I could have guided this tour myself better if given one or two day of practice. She offered to take pictures for me with her camera, and then never actually got in touch with me to explain how to download the photos taken after the end of the day. I only had a very few pictures on my camera to see. Majority of pictures taken by her camera were gone with her driven away. Had I known this, I would have taken all the photos myself. It was a disaster in almost every way possible. I am saying all this not intending to make the guide lose her job. But, the fault is on the tour operator to begin with, not just on the new guide. If the tour operator were going to introduce the guide on his/her job on day 1, the new guide should have had an opportunity to shadow a more experienced guide during the actual trip for at least one day to understand the procedures, what-to-do, and what-not-do in general. This tour needs a massive improvement. Sorely disappointed..
This was a wonderful experience! My guide, Sirpan was very knowledgeable. She was also very kind and attentive. The setting was stunning and so peaceful. This was the perfect introduction to meditation for a novice westerner like me! The highlight of this experience was meeting a monk, who kindly chatted to me about Buddhist meditation.
I learnt alot about buddhism, and it was a very peaceful experience. The guide was very knowledgeable, although I would have liked the opportunity to talk to a monk
Hope you can find place to learn more mind fulness meditation. Satu Satu Satu
Our guide was funny, kind and very accommodating. The temple was situated in a serene mountainside with waterfalls and dense vegetation, the perfect place for meditation. The monk who sat and spoke with us was very informative, compassionate and patient - we asked a lot of questions! I highly recommend this for anyone looking to relax and wanting an introduction to Buddhism and mediation.
GREAT EXPERIENCE! Pisi and company where great! They are so dedicated and genuine, they explain and they really put effort in every detail, goes beyond the plan (very flexible and open)! I really recommend this tour! ♥️ Thank you for such a special day
Thank you very much for your support
