En lille gruppetur med et lokalt og personligt præg. Sandsynligvis Islands mest berømte tour, Golden Circle, er den perfekte blanding af menneskelig og naturhistorie. Vi besøger Thingvellir Nationalpark, Geysir, Gullfoss, Friðheimar drivhus og den hemmelige lagune. Golden Circle er et must for enhver, der virkelig ønsker at opleve Island, og Scret Lagoon er den perfekte måde at slappe af og nyde Island på. En meget unik frokostoplevelse i Friðheimar drivhus, frokost er inkluderet.

Rejseplan
Thingvellir er karakteriseret ved en tektonisk sprækkedal og markerer, at de eurasiske og nordamerikanske plader skiller sig fra hinanden. I 930 blev det islandske parlament, det første demokrati i verden, oprettet på Thingvellir. Thingvellir blev et UNESCOs verdensarvssted i 2004. Vi går til vandfaldet Öxarárfoss.
Vidste du, at det engelske navn "gejser", stammer fra det eneste i Haukadalur-området på Island? Selve gejseren Geysir bryder kogende vand op til 70 meter, men er næsten inaktiv. Strokkur, kun få meter fra Geyser, udbryder i gennemsnit hvert 4. minut. Faxi er et nærliggende vandfald, og vi stopper der.
Nær Geysir er det smukke Gullfoss Vandfald. Nyd udsigten ovenfra og gå ned ad stien for at komme tæt på det kraftfulde vandfald.
I Friðheimar drivhus dyrkes tomater ved hjælp af geotermisk varme og geotermisk genereret elektricitet. Med et tropisk klima indeni har de åbnet en restaurant, lige der i tomatmarken. Hovedingredienserne i deres menu er selvfølgelig tomater, der dyrkes der. Dette er en meget sjælden og unik frokostoplevelse.
Slap af og slap af i den gamle lokale swimmingpool i Flúðir, også kaldet den hemmelige lagune.

We had an awesome tour guide for three days and were able to see so much in a short time! This was a private small group tour 7 to 11 people. Our guide Addie was very professional, personable and knowledgeable of Icelandic history and the sites we visited! She was flexible if we needed to spend a bit more time in some places. Guides provide and reinforce safety information to visitors. It's nice to ride and enjoy the scenery a d not have to focus on driving. She had great stories too!! We booked a private tour with the Family and it was a wonderful experience. This is the second time we booked our vacation with this company and the experience was amazing as always. Hopefully next visit we will pick more places to visit and see in Iceland

We enjoyed our tour of amazing sites on the Golden Circle. Helga, our guide, was excellent! She was passionate, friendly, amazingly knowledgeable with an Advanced degree in geology. Ending the day at the secret lagoon was the icing on the cake!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even looked like a Viking! The landscape was spectacular. The geyser did not reach any kind of height, just sort of bubbled and steam blew out, but that is no fault of the tour company. I was with a group of 8 friends, we decided that we did not want to get off at the secret lagoon but wanted to continue on with the rest of the tour and our guide accommodated us.
