Udforsk Islands betagende natur på en Golden Circle tur fra havnen i Skarfabakki. I modsætning til traditionelle ture har vi ikke en fast afgangstid. Vi venter på, at dit krydstogt ankommer før du begynder, hvilket tillader op til 2 timer efter ankomsten. Vores lille gruppe tilgang sikrer en mere personlig oplevelse, så vores dygtige guider kan levere enestående service og dele Islands fascinerende historie, kultur og geologi. Golden Circle er Islands mest berømte sightseeingrute, der kombinerer fantastiske landskaber med historier, der spænder fra bosættelsesperioden til i dag. Vi sætter kursen mod det tordnende Gullfoss-vandfald, der topper mange lister som et stærkt og hypnotiserende naturfænomen. Der er et sted ved Gullfoss, hvor du kan købe dig en frokost.
Geysir geotermiske område er ganske fantastisk, hvor vi kan se gejseren Strokkur bryde ud hvert femte minut. Der er et sted i Geysir, hvor du kan købe dig en frokost.
Thingvellir National Park, en juvel med både historisk og geologisk værdi. Dette er stedet, hvor Islands parlament blev grundlagt i 930 e.Kr.; hvert år, og indtil den danske kolonialisme mødtes omkring 30 regerende høvdinge for at diskutere loven på øen. Det afholder også mødet mellem de nordamerikanske og eurasiske tektoniske plader, og det er grunden til, at vi siger, at vi kan gå mellem kontinenter på dette specifikke sted. For at toppe det tager vi en let vandretur til det smukke Öxararfoss-vandfald, et af de meget få menneskeskabte vandfald i Island. Kanalen til floden Öxará blev flyttet i det 10. århundrede for at skaffe vand til alle parlamentets assistenter.
Vi fortsætter til den slående Kerið vulkansk krater, hvor levende røde vulkanske skråninger omgiver en rolig turkis sø, hvilket skaber en af Islands mest farverige og fængslende naturlige landemærker.

Den samlede rejsetid bør være cirka 3 timer og 30 minutter, og vi vil også bruge ekstra tid på hvert sted, hvilket i alt summerer til omkring 6 til 7 timer.

We was met by Goncalo a Portuguese guide who from the start was friendly and made you welcome. He explained the agenda and also said we might be able to fit in a couple of extra stops if time permitted. Very clear about toilet stops eye which at my age is important and at each stop attempted to get the most convenient drop point. Very good explaining about aspects of Iceland including plant life and the animals and also the weather which in our case was perfect. At the end of the day he dropped us off in various locations so that we could look around Reykjavik. Great day, great service and half the price of the cruise line package the the same excursion.

We arrived on a cruise ship and wanted to see the Golden Circle without paying cruise excursion prices. The smaller van tour is nice and we would give David six stars if we could. Plenty of time at each stop made it fun.

Wow! From the moment Simon ( aka Spicy Viking) opened the tour bus doors we knew an adventure was in store. Informative, witty and full of fun facts it was a great balance. First stop was Thingvellir National Park A UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian plates pull apart, creating cliffs, fissures, and a landscape that looks like the earth is splitting open. It’s also the site of Iceland’s first parliament. We got to see Geysir Geothermal Area Home to Strokkur, the geyser that erupts every few minutes — a reliable, dramatic burst of steam and boiling water. The area is full of bubbling mud pots and mineral‑rich pools. Gullfoss Waterfall was breathtaking The “Golden Falls” that give the route its name — a two‑tiered, roaring canyon waterfall that feels mythic in any weather.

All good on this small group tour , enjoyed the sights and the fact that everything was covered in snow was the real bonus. Our guide Martin was very interesting and had a great way about him. Driving conditions looked looked tricky , this is where an experienced guide is essential.
