Inkaernes hellige dal er et sted fuld af gamle Inka ruiner. De mest imponerende er Pisac og Ollantaytambo. Begge bygninger er bygget med store stenblokke. Denne tur går også til Maras Salt Mines og det arkæologiske sted Moray. Turen gælder for grupper på 2 eller flere personer.

Vi forlader Cusco by klokken 7:00. Vores første stop vil være Chinchero by. Her vil vi besøge den arkæologiske site Chinchero.
Derefter ankommer vi om 25 minutter til det arkæologiske kompleks i Moray. Moray har flere cirkulære landbrugsterrasser. Ifølge nogle historikere blev disse strukturer brugt af inkaerne til at dyrke planter fra varmere klimaer.
Vores næste stop bliver Maras Salt Mines, som ligger 25 minutter fra Moray. Saltminerne indeholder snesevis af firkantede brønde med saltvand. Disse brønde er fyldt med saltvand, der kommer fra undergrunden. Efter at være blevet udsat for sollys, fordamper vandet og efterlader saltet. Derefter samles saltet af den lokale befolkning og sælges på det lokale marked.
Efter at have udforsket Maras-saltminerne, kører vi til Urubamba by. Urubamba ligger i den laveste del af den hellige dal, så klimaet er lidt varmere. Vi spiser frokostbuffet her. Efter frokost besøger vi det arkæologiske kompleks i Ollantaytambo.
Vi forlader Urubamba efter frokost og om 30 minutter er vi i byen og den arkæologiske park Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo er berømt for sine lange stentrapper, som fører til hovedområdet af komplekset. Ligesom Pisac var Ollantaytambo et inka-kongeligt palads. Vi vil også besøge Ollantaytambo-byen, hvor du vil kunne købe nogle souvenirs.
Efter at have udforsket Ollantaytambo, vil transporten tage os i 1 time og 30 minutter til byen og det arkæologiske kompleks i Pisac, der ligger i den hellige dal. Byen Pisac er en hyggelig landsby beliggende ud til Urubamba-floden. Det har et traditionelt marked, hvor du kan købe souvenirs og smage den lokale mad. På den anden side er det arkæologiske kompleks i Pisac placeret på en nærliggende bakketop. Det omfatter talrige stenbygninger, der var inkaadelens huse. Efter at have udforsket dette smukke sted, vender vi tilbage til Cusco by, hvor vi ankommer omkring 19:00.

⭐️ 1/5 – Very rushed tour Pros: - The guides were very knowledgeable and explained the history of each site well. - Good option if you just want a quick overview of the Sacred Valley. Cons: - The four main attractions were extremely rushed. We only had around 10–15 minutes at Chinchero, Pisac and Moray, and about 25 minutes at Ollantaytambo, despite all being massive sites. - Those time was spent standing and listening to the guide rather than actually exploring the sites. - We also stopped at three vendors, spending around 20-30mins which is more time than the main sites. Each product in those vendor has no price tags. - We had to pay around **70 soles extra for the entrance tickets**, which made the limited time at each site even more disappointing. Personally, I would much rather visit fewer places and have enough time to properly explore them or skipping those vendors/shops as a whole. The whole point of visiting the Sacred Valley, for me, is to experience the historical sites—not just quickly listen to their history and leave. If you want a quick skim tour, this may be suitable. If you want to actually explore the sites, I’d recommend a less rushed itinerary.

The Sacred Valley shared tour is designed to visit several of the main attractions in a single day, so the time at each site is necessarily limited. However, we also offer a Traditional Sacred Valley Tour, which visits only Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero, allowing much more time to explore each archaeological site at a relaxed pace. Regarding the stops at the artisan centers, our intention is to introduce visitors to traditional Andean weaving techniques and other locally made products. Visiting these places is part of the cultural experience, and any purchases are completely optional. As for the vendors you encountered at the entrances of some archaeological sites, unfortunately they are independent sellers who operate in those public areas and are not associated with our company, so we have no control over their presence. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our services. Our tour to scared valley was fantastic! We made about 7 stops, it was a long day but all worth it. Out tour guide Leo was amazing very knowledgeable, did a fantastic job explaining in detail. And he was a great human being really showed us amazing hospitality.

Tour was ok. Lunch was terrible and everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. And music and noise very loud.

This tour took you to all the sites it listed, but time at the historically and archaeologically significant sites were sacrificed at the expense of trying to rip tourists off. At every opportunity, we were taken to a vendor who could play tricks to take tourists money, while only being given 10 minutes to explore each historic site actually advertised as part of the tour. English was presented on this tour as an after thought, with long complex descriptions and discussions had in Spanish and then a very concise description provided in English.

During the tour, we only make a brief stop in Chinchero, where local people demonstrate the traditional Andean weaving and spinning process, and another short stop in Pisac, where visitors receive an explanation about local jewelry and handicrafts. We had an amazing experience on this tour! Andy was a fantastic guide - super fun, engaging, and incredibly informative. He shared so much about Inca history and culture, and we learned a lot throughout the day. Everything was very well organized, with timely pickup and drop-off, and great communication from start to finish. The sites we visited were absolutely stunning, and each stop felt worthwhile. One of the highlights was a stop at a baby alpaca shop, where they walk you through the entire process of how the products are made and dyed. It was really interesting, and you also have the option to purchase items if you’d like. We did the full tour, including the final stop in Pisac, which was beautiful and definitely worth it. Just a heads-up: some people in our group chose to end their tour early at Ollantaytambo to catch their train to Machu Picchu, so that’s an option if you coordinate ahead of time. Highly recommend this tour!

Loved it. Jimi was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable. We hit Pisaq, which was my favorite, Ollantaytambo & those ruins were amazing. It was my birthday & at lunch they had the restaurant make it a whole thing, which was sweet. We also hit the salt mines, & lots of other places, too many to remember. Overall great experience

The tour guide is good, we did visit all the spots, but it's too short for some of sites such as Pisac, pretty much didn't get to see much at Pisac. You might need to do that separately. The only major complain I have is that they take you to shopping sites... there were 3 spots we stopped for shopping, which did not mention in the details.

Very good experience, the guide explained the places we visited, they gave us enough time to take the photos and appreciate the landscape, my children of 11 and 12 years were happy and entertained, my wife and I enjoyed the family day taking our children to know in a safe and didactic way the history of the Sacred Valley of Cusco.
