Gå en tur om morgenen! Sværhedsgraden er let / middel - 5 km nedstrøms gåtur! Kort beskrivelse: Gå over en af verdens længste suspension broer og gå Paiva Walkways sti! Besøg et af højdepunkterne i Portugal: Costa Nova og Aveiro, det portugisiske Venedig! Vi afgår fra Porto mod Arouca by, hvor vi vil stoppe kort tid for toiletter. Efter en kort køretur, vil vi gå over Suspension Bridge! Den er 516 meter lang i hele dalen og hænger 175 meter over floden Paiva! Nyd en eksklusiv tidslinje! Derefter vil du gå Paiva Walkways ned ad bakke i en samlet længde på 5 km over en træpromenade zig-zaggende langs Paiva floden. Frokost er en anden oplevelse! (Kød, fisk og vegetariske muligheder) Efter en power nap i vanen, vil vi besøge Costa Nova og de farverige huse! Tid til at nyde Aveiro! Oplev byens centrum på en kort gåtur, fritid til at opdage på egen hånd og mulighed for at slappe af på en bådtur gennem kanalerne (valgfri aktivitet)!

The tour definitely had a lot of potential. I loved the suspension bridge and the walkways, but the Costa Nova time was too short. I also felt like the tour guide was not as knowledgeable about what made Costa Nova and Aveiro unique, and why it was worth going. We also didn’t receive enough recommendations to really take advantage of the two towns, felt too open, for someone who’s never been there before. Therefore it felt like we spent more time in the van, rather than the towns. The lunch was incredible. We also couldn’t hear the tour guide while sitting at the back of the van, so the tour guide wearing a microphone may be better. We also had passengers who didn’t speak English, and the tour guide didn’t use Google Translate to try to accommodate those guests. Overall, the first part of the tour before lunch was excellent, but the second half after lunch was pretty dull. I would’ve been fine with ending the tour after lunch. Perhaps Costa Nova and Aveiro should be left for a separate tour in order to understand and explore those better. Additionally, it will be helpful for the tour guide to be more knowledgeable about all the locations we are going to, as this tour wasn’t cheap.
We had a great day in Aveiro and the walkways and bridge were stunning! Thanks to our driver and guide Ricardo we learned about the environment and he was really entertaining. It was a small group of 8 people so we did not have to wait long to go to the next stop.
The whole day was full with exciting new experiences to enjoy. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The morning walk was lovely … the suspension bridge scary but exhilarating. The walk down the valley was beautiful, and all downhill. There are a lot of steps though and I felt like I was getting dizzy with them all but the views are worth it. Lunch was great and there was a lot of it. The trip to the seaside resort was lovely and the beach to die for. It is a real pity we did not get to stay longer here. The final destination, the little ‘Venice’ was also very charming. All in all, a very good day out!
Joao (Costa) was our fabulous guide on this trip. A superb bridge walk and hike, then on to an interesting canal ride through the history of Aveiro.
We had a great time exploring towns outside of Porto! Our guide, Costa, was THE BEST!! We enjoyed learning about Portugal and all of the places we experienced. Costa was a wonderful Portuguese ambassador!!!

Fantastic tour lots of free time and lots of information about Portuguese history. The suspension bridge was amazing and the walk was beautiful. Wear proper shoes and bring water. Would do again without hesitation.
