Fra Rethymno Private Tour til Spili Kourtaliotiko Kalypso Strand

Beskrivelse

This tour was seriously one of the BEST tours we have ever been on! Angie, our driver, was so much fun and she made sure we were taken care of and had the best time! We saw so many amazing places like the gorge, Kalypso Beach and the village of Spili where we enjoyed one of the BEST lunches we ever had. We loved the beautiful lion fountains where we were able to refill our bottles of water on a hot day and she even brought us some fresh cherries from her mother’s home to enjoy at the beach! They were so delicious!!!! We highly recommend this tour and Angie will become family before the day is over!
My daughter and I spent the day with Angie on her private tour from Rethymno to Spili, Kourtaliotiko Gorge, and Kalypso Beach, and it ended up being one of our favorite days in Crete. What I appreciated most was that Angie didn’t make us feel like tourists. She made us feel like friends she was showing around her island. Throughout the day she shared stories about local life, culture, food, and the history of the places we visited. It felt natural and never like a rehearsed tour. One of my favorite memories was when she convinced us to get into the freezing cold water at Kourtaliotiko Gorge to see the waterfall tucked around the bend. I was hesitant, but I’m so glad we did it because it was absolutely beautiful and something we would have missed on our own. We also visited Kalypso Beach, had lunch at a local taverna, did a little shopping, visited a museum, and sampled local olive oil and honey. Every stop felt authentic and gave us a better feel for Crete than we could have gotten by ourselves. Honestly, some of the best parts of the day were just the conversations we had with Angie in the car between stops. By the end of the tour, it felt like we were spending the day with a friend rather than a guide. If you’re looking for a way to experience Crete beyond the typical tourist spots, I would definitely recommend spending a day with Angie.
Dear Mrs. Mechelle, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. I am truly delighted to hear that our day became one of your favorite memories from Crete. What you described is exactly the experience I hope to create for our guests, not just visiting beautiful places, but connecting with the island through its people, culture, traditions, and stories. I am especially touched by your kind words about making you feel more like friends than tourists. Most of all, it means a lot to hear that the conversations and connections along the way were just as memorable as the sights themselves. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey and for recommending the experience to future visitors. I hope to welcome you and your daughter back to Crete someday for more adventures and new memories!
We had a fantastic day with Angie and would definitely recommend this experience. The day started when we were picked up where we lived. Even before we started the trip, it was clear that Angie would do anything for us to have a nice experience. She took time to greet the children and they became comfortable with her from the first moment. The tour started with a short drive to Kourtaliotiko Gorge. On the way Angie gave us an introduction to the history of Crete and answered everything we wanted to know about the island. Well ahead we got good to enjoy the landscape down the beautiful stairs and swim in the ice-cold river. We went to Kalypso Beach where we relaxed and bathed in the wonderful surroundings. This is definitely a place to experience if you want something other than the usual beaches. On the way back it was time for lunch and we were taken to a small place where we got to buy everything you can imagine of traditional Greek food. We ended our trip by stopping in Spili where we were able to see the local museum and taste local olive oil and honey. All in all, both adults and children had an amazing experience. We strongly recommend this tour.
Angie was a fabulous tour guide with a lot of energy and knowledge. The tour was a perfect balance of time on our own to explore and time with Angie. We really got a feel for the island and enjoyed our day tremendously. We are a family of 4 with 2 older teenage children who also had a great time. Angie even followed up with ideas for things to do on our other days in Crete! Highly recommended!
We had the most unforgettable experience touring Greece with Angie and her father George! From breathtaking beaches to a charming historical town, a beautiful waterfall, and some of the best Greek food we've ever had, every stop on the tour was thoughtfully planned and truly special. What made this experience even more incredible was the warm hospitality and care shown by Angie and George. They went above and beyond to accommodate our larger family group—including making sure my one-year-old nephew was comfortable and happy throughout the day. Their kindness, knowledge, and passion for their country made us feel more like family than tourists. Thank you, Angie and George, for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever. We can’t recommend this tour enough!
We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Angie and her father George on a private tour of Crete, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect. It by far the best day of our entire trip! Angie is warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about her island, and her love for Crete is contagious. George is equally wonderful and kind. Together, they made us feel like part of their family. We visited stunning hidden spots we would have never discovered on our own, took in breathtaking views, and learned so much about Cretan history and culture. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen and timed perfectly. And the food... wow! We enjoyed an authentic Greek meal at a local restaurant with a stunning view. If you're thinking about booking with them, don’t hesitate, this is a must do experience in Crete, and you'll come away with memories that last a lifetime. Thank you, Angie and George we love you guys!
The owner/operator Angie is just the best. She picked us up from our villa right on time in a sparkling clean Mercedes van. First stop, village of Spila in the mountains for a coffee and snack then to a grotto with Aegean clear blue water for snorkeling, then finished with a waterfall in a gorge that is Instagram worthy. I highly recommend this tour!
Oh Honey, you will not find a better guide than Angie. She has an infectious positive energy and knows so much about Greek and Cretan history. This tour took us to a beautiful little town where we had coffee, visited a museum, drank local water from the public lion fountains, shopped, and delighted in the local delights. Kalypso beach was a little piece of heaven tucked in a cove. We snorkeled, drank pina coladas, and enjoyed the beautiful cove and resort like atmosphere. Next we visited a seaside village overlooking the ocean to grab a bite. Then the last stop by the gorge. We hiked down the steps to a stupendous waterfall. A high light of our whole trip to Crete. Just a beautiful day!
Water was beautiful, so much to look at with the snorkels and even the drive in was stunning. Plus, Angie was so helpful and kept everybody laughing
We visited so many beautiful places! And had a really fun time! Angie was really friendly and really knows all the places on the tour. She even helped recommend other places to visit for the rest of our holiday.
