Our tour guide was FANTASTIC! However, be aware the address listed for this activity leads you to the exit. You must go to the main entrance. We barely made it due to this inaccurate information from Viator. The government had trouble with their new system and we did not have the experience of being there without crowds. We did not get first access without people and instead of going in at 7:45 am we had to wait and have a mad rush with the rest of the line at 8:41 am. So that was disappointing but due to no fault of the tour company.

There are so many groups that visit the Acropolis. I recommend this experience - the guide was really knowledgeable and the headphones that kept her voice specifically to our group were comfortable. Our guide looked for shady spots to talk to us, and really picked and chose from the hundreds of places to describe. Our group was small enough to keep everyone together, and we really were the first group to the top in the morning!

The meeting point is confusing - they were where all the crowd for the ticketing line was and it was difficult to find them, especially with a kid in tow. We could have met at the bottom of the hill and that would have made it easier. The guide was also a rough - she scolded my child for playing with her own feet on the ground (she wasn’t doing anything harmful to anyone or to the surrounding - otherwise I would have stopped her myself). Besides that, any question I asked, she said “I’ll answer it later”. Even if she had plans of doing so, she is a guide on an expensive tour and she could have answered my question. Also, a general comment - the tour is expensive enough that they could have given everyone a water bottle. I’ve been on better tours. The site itself is worth seeing of course, but I would do it with another tour company.
Getting in to the facility at opening is a big benefit of this tour. The crowds are insanely large as the day goes on and the heat becomes a factor as well. Our guide didn't rush us but was laser focused on getting us to certain areas before crowds formed. It was as big benefit. Our guide was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable and shared a lot of history without it becoming a lecture. Very enjoyable, plenty of time for photos and questions. Also, since you have a paid entry into the park, you can stay as long as you like after the tour to see things in more depth if you like. We would highly recommend. Also, a good idea to bring water with you on the tour as it gets hot. If you don't have your own bottle, there is a gift shop that sells water and coffee, etc., just before the attraction opens. You can't bring any food or drink into the facility other than water, but you can drink your coffee as you wait for the doors to open.

We did get in without waiting in fairly long queue. Morning booking worked well for our family of 5 with 4 year old toddler.

Glad we got up early and did this. It was cooler and no crowds. By the time we were leaving at 930 it was very overcrowded and not sure how we would have gotten the amazing pictures we did with the crowds. Plus we went straight to the museum which was air-conditioned and once again not as crowded and when we were starting to leave. The day worked out perfect! The tour guide Eleana was a wealth of knowledge and very interactive.
