En tur dag dedikeret til vand og ild, fra Gorge af Alcantara floden til den højeste aktive vulkan i Europa. Besøg Alcantara Fluvial Park et vidunderligt naturreservat mellem Catania og Taormina, et unikt sted med sin Alcantara. Efter dette besøg bevæger vi os mod Mount Etna og besøger antikke kratre og lavastrømme, vulkanske huler til at udforske i fuldstændig sikkerhed.

Den guidede trekking krydser River Park, et sted af stor naturalistisk interesse. Under denne behagelige gåtur blandt den frodige vegetation vil du nyde et besøg fra toppen af Alcantara-floden, og fra de forskellige udsigtspunkter langs stierne kan du se udsigter af ekstraordinær skønhed. Et unikt skue vil åbenbare sig for dine øjne: Svimlende klippekløfter op til 25 meter høje delt i to af den iskolde Alcantara-flod, Alcantara-kløfterne repræsenterer et autentisk mesterværk af naturen. Med udflugten til Alcantara Gorges kan du beundre den fantastiske skønhed i disse dybe kløfter af vulkansk oprindelse. Deres klipper med udsigt over floden drysset med basaltiske prismer, de bizarre symmetriske klippeformationer, som blev dannet som et resultat af afkølingen af den glødende lava i kontakt med det iskolde vand og deres majestætiske søjleformede basalter af tusindvis af oprindelse udgør en fortryllende naturlig canyon af ekstraordinær påvirkning.
Etna-turen inkluderer et besøg i Silvestri-kraterne, der ligger nær Sapienza Refuge, hvor du kan beundre månelandskaberne, der kendetegner kraternes område, der går tilbage til 1892-udbruddet. Etna-turen fortsætter med udforskningen af en spektakulær lavagrotte. Med en gåtur mellem kratere af gamle formationer og kratere af nyere formation, vil du krydse det område, der er påvirket af lavastrømmen genereret af 1991/93-udbruddet, og du vil nå Sapienza Refuge i en højde af 2000 meter.

We were lucky to be the only 2 participants that day... So we had an almost private tour with Daniela which was just great!!! He explained everything, from Etna, to the caves up to the Alcantara gorges!! Simply fantastic as the tour itself!! To be redone!! Simone & Aris

Tour of Etna and the Alcantara gorges accompanied by the very kind, extremely helpful and highly trained guide Aristide Tomasino. We spent a very pleasant day passing in the morning, after an exhaustive explanation during the journey, to the gorges of the three levels climbing up to the Speranza refuge near the sylvan craters where we were able to enjoy a suggestive and spectacular view. Afterwards, tasting of wines and specialties in the city of Zafferana and, in the afternoon, visit to the Alcantara gorges where we were able to visit the beautiful park and take a bath in the cold water of the river. Beautiful and memorable day, recommended.
Super recommended experience for anyone passing through the Etna area. It was fun and interesting both for the wonderful places we visited and for the passion and culture of our guide (Aristide).
