Cremona. Capital of the violin.

Magnificent. City of Stradivari, the whole city is dedicated to the violin. A human-sized city, easy to walk around, especially since cars must park outside the center.

Pleasant...and useful

I found the visit to this museum very interesting because it explains in detail with a video how the Torrazzo was built and especially the astronomical clock. And then, in the following rooms, one can see the mechanisms of the latter, other astronomical clocks, etc. The usefulness of interspersing the various floors and thus allowing visitors to catch their breath while facing the 502 steps is truly brilliant.

Pleasant...and useful

I found both the video illustrating the construction of this tower and the astronomical clock, as well as the exhibition of the various types of mechanisms that make it work, interesting. The usefulness lies in the functional idea of allowing a breather from the 504 steps being climbed, interspersed with the vertical museum.

Absolutely to do

great experience, magnificent view not excessive price wide stairs and not difficult to climb, only those leading to panoramics are more challenging excellent the fact of having themed rooms on the various floors that break the fatigue and give excellent explanations on the structure to access the panoramas, being narrower stairs, there are traffic lights to decide the flow of visitors that unfortunately not all respect creating hiccups

Prices as immoderate as everything in cremona

Cremona thieves as always. The museum is private and they do not make any kind of discount. As an art professor, I have free access to all public museums. They pass you the 10 euro ticket that also includes the diocesan museum and the baptistery, but that I did not really care. The tower is fascinating and evocative, but being the only monument of importance in the city can not be private. The view from above, however, does not give who knows what emotions. I add, I'm not even a tourist, I'm a resident of Cremona. They should review the tariff and the general relationship with the public.

Amazing!

Absolutely to visit, even if only for the derisory cost of only € 5. The climb is challenging but just do it calmly and on arrival the 360-degree show repays your effort. Suitable for all ages and only for those suffering from dizziness the last stretch can be problematic.

Not a Must See

The Tower Museum isn’t a “must see” in my opinion but the 3 museum ticket package made it very inexpensive so, if you have the time and the willingness to walk the few hundred steps to the top, do it. The view at the top is not breathtaking but it’s interesting.
