Disappointed in lack of ‘tourist’ info, our guide was underprepared, needed maps for walking and driving sections and didn’t share any real gems as we would expect from a tour of this price and length. Lovely guy, chatty, but didn’t provide any depth to the tour - he led us and drove us and that’s about it. 2 of The inclusions we expected were missed. Venues we went to for food and drink had no seating available (so we weren’t expected) which made us feel like we shouldn’t be there.

We’re really sorry to hear the tour didn’t meet expectations, particularly around the level of commentary and local insight provided throughout the day. This experience is designed to be more than simply moving between stops, so we’re disappointed to hear you felt there wasn’t enough depth, context, or “hidden gems” shared. Your comments around preparation and commentary are very useful, and we’ll be following this up internally with the guide team. Regarding the venues, we were expected at each stop. However, due to the operational requirements of some venues, we aren’t always able to guarantee seated service at every location. That said, we completely understand how it may have felt on the day, and we’ll review how we communicate and manage these stops so guests feel more comfortable and welcomed. Thank you again for the feedback. We’re sorry this wasn’t the experience you were hoping for, and we’ll be using your comments to improve the tour.

Tour was well knitted, and very good ( must do) for a first timer in Melbourne. I wish this tour was conducted in through trams and walking only. Then it would have been a real experience for any one to do their rest of the trip by themselves, conversant with moving around any place in Melbourne and its ways.

The tour guide was friendly and nice, but he didn't really show us the city, and the snacks provided were the food that I would go for. At the end of the tour, we went to a bar. The pictures on the walls were not suitable for kids. Overall, I was very unhappy.

Our Melbourne tour is designed to showcase the city through a mix of neighbourhoods, local food stops, stories, and hidden spots rather than a traditional sightseeing-style city tour, but we appreciate that this may not have been what you were hoping for. Regarding the final stop, we do advertise that the tour finishes at a bar, with this information available prior to booking. That said, we understand your concern about the venue feeling unsuitable for children and will take that feedback into consideration when reviewing the experience. This tour was very enjoyable! We were the only two on it, so that was special and Shelton took the time to find out what piqued our interest and customized the experience between tastings. He was knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot of the history of how Melbourne came to be and has evolved — with tasty nibbles along the way. A very enjoyable introduction to Melbourne!

We had a great morning tour, our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. We loved seeing the back Alleys and artwork that was hidden around the area. The food was lovely and particularly liked the cheese and chocolate. A great idea to share with my friends. We would definitely recommend this tour
