Oplev en perfekt dag med sol, hav og kultur! Nyd næsten 5 timers ren afslapning svømning og solbadning ved havet, som vi tager dig til to af Grækenlands mest ikoniske strande - Elafonisi og Falasarna - alt i en uforglemmelig dag. Vi begynder vores rejse i Elafonisi, dagens mest betagende destination. Dyk ned i grunt turkisfarvet vand, gå langs bløde lyserøde sand og udforsk de eksotiske lagune, der er ideelle selv for børn. Dernæst leder vi mod vest til den fantastiske Falasarna Beach, en lokal favorit kendt for sit krystalklare turkis hav og bred, hvid sandstrand - perfekt til afslapning under solen. Vores sidste stop er den traditionelle landsby Vouves, hvor vi besøger det ældste oliventræ i verden og nyder en smag af ren kretensisk ekstra jomfruolie - en sand smag af øens arv. Ud for den sydvestlige spids af Kreta, cirka 75 kilometer fra Chania by, ligger Elafonisi strand og lille ø. Det er inden for gåafstand fra fastlandet, nogle gange uden engang at blive vådt på tæerne. Det blev engang brugt af pirater til at skjule deres bytte (lafyra), og sådan fik det sit navn. Øen (ca. 1,3 km lang og 400 meter bred) er et beskyttet naturreservat og kan prale af en af de fineste sandstrande i landet. Mere end det er Elafonisi den eneste græske deltager på en Tripadvisor-liste over verdens 25 bedste strande i 2014. Dette kan forventes: blændende hvidt lyserødt sand, turkis-hvidt laguneagtigt vand, der kruser, når de fanger brisen , et eksotisk sted med sporadisk vegetation mod de kretensiske bjergers stærke barhed. På øen finder du adskillige små bugter, sandstrande og interessante klippeformationer. Det er også hjemsted for 110 plantearter inklusive den beskyttede Androcymbium rechingeri, som er så sjælden som det lyder.
Falasarna-stranden ligger i den vestlige del af Kreta, omkring 53 km fra byen Chania og 13 km fra byen Kissamos. Ganske populær blandt dagsturister, dens fantastiske strande og klare turkisblå hav er unikke. Det har modtaget mange priser for sin skønhed, faciliteter og tjenester, som den besøgende nyder godt af. Den lange sandstrand er en af dens vigtigste fordele, da den giver de besøgende mulighed for at nyde den, selv i højsæsonen. Svømning i det krystalklare turkise vand på stranden vil få enhver til at føle den ultimative fornøjelse. Dens strand er fuldt organiseret med parasoller og liggestole i sin største del. Der er dog flere ledige pladser for dem, der foretrækker at lægge deres egen paraply og håndklæde på sandet. Det, der vil imponere dig mest, er den charmerende og unikke solnedgang, en af de smukkeste i Grækenland. Solnedgangen der er virkelig imponerende, da der ikke er noget, der hindrer dit synsfelt mellem stranden og horisonten.
Oliventræet i Vouves er sandsynligvis et af de ældste oliventræer i verden, som forbliver produktivt den dag i dag. Træets nøjagtige alder kan ikke bestemmes. Mens træringanalyse viste, at træet var mindst 2000 år gammelt, har forskere fra Kretas Universitet anslået, at det er 4000 år gammelt. I 1997 blev det erklæret et beskyttet naturmonument, og i oktober 2009 blev Olive Tree Museum of Vouves indviet i et nærliggende hus fra det 19. århundrede, der viser traditionelle redskaber brugt i processen med olivendyrkning. Fra og med de olympiske lege i Athen i 2004 blev olivengrene "kotinos" fra dette gamle oliventræ brugt til kransen af maratonvindere i alle olympiske spil. Hvert år besøger over 20.000 mennesker fra hele verden dette gamle træ.

It didn't took us long to find someone offering tours around Crete, close to the place where we were staying. Safe to say we made the right choice with SeaByBus. Eleni was such a lovely guide with a lot of historical know how. Kostas drove us savely to Elafonisi, Falasarna and Vouves. If you want to see two of the most lovely beaches and the worlds oldest olive tree, we can highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing day! Our group only consisted of 7 people. The guide was excellent. The scenry beautiful. The time at the beaches was just right. We booked last minute due to other plans derailing, but this was so much better. Highly recommend!

My wife and I traveled from Texas to Crete for our honeymoon. Our first adventure on the island was with SeaByBus. We were greeted with kindness the whole time. I would highly recommend these kind people to escort you around the island and teach you a thing or two about the Cretans. They provided a nice beach lunch and supplies needed to have a good time at the beach (Beach mat, umbrealla, lunch box. I enjoyed them so much that I booked a private taxi to the airport in Heraklion from Chania with them. I chatted with Christine via WhatsApp and she was delightful and a great help. Better than renting a car and getting lost - let the professionals take care of you. The "snacks" were healthy home cooked pastries full of Cretean goodness and so healthy as well as yummy and tasty. They thought of everything from cold water, sleeping mats and umbrellas. (I feel sad though - that the wind blew our umbrella inside out and probably ruined it). Elifanici beach was breathtakingly beautiful - and we went there first as it gets crowded as the day goes on. The other beach was also amazing - blue water like a David Hockney painting. The oldest olive was nice - but not very photogenic as it had a fence all around it - still it was lovely to visit a peaceful Cretean family homestead. We loved feeding the chickens and tasting fresh bread dipped in extra virgin olive oil. Great day.

We had an amazing time on this tour and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. Everything was very well organised from start to finish. Our tour guide (Eleni) and our driver (Kostas) were both fantastic. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. They also went above and beyond by kindly picking us up and dropping us off (even though we were staying outside the standard pick-up area), which we really appreciated. Communication was excellent throughout, from the moment we booked the tour and also on the day itself, so everything felt smooth and stress-free. We had a wonderful day. Great day at both beaches. Very nice that they add on the visit to the Vouves oldest olive tree with tasting. Hospitality was amazing. They provided everything. Great box lunch, mats & umbrella for the beach & all the drinks from soda, water to beer. Snorkel gear was available. Had a wonderful time & great experience.
