Denne dagstur tager dig fra Wien til Wachau, en malerisk dal langs Donau. Du vil se mange middelalderlige slotte, store klostre og et betagende landskab. Vi stopper i Dürnstein i en time. Herfra vil du have en imponerende bådtur på Donau til Melk. Highlight vil være guidet tur gennem den storslåede Benedictine Abbey (afhængig af sæsonen)

Operngasse 8: Mødestedet er 15 - 10 minutter før afgang foran Opera Fountain ved Wien State Opera. Tag linjerne U1 (rød), U2 (lilla) eller U4 (grøn) til station "Karlsplatz". Følg afgangen "Oper" og gå til venstre langs Wien State Opera for at komme til Operngasse.
Besøg den vidunderlige Dürnstein.
Tag en imponerende bådtur på Donau fra Spitz til Melk (kun om sommeren).

It was a little expensive for the excursion but very well organized . The guide in bus was somewhat unclear in certain of his explanations
This was a wonderful day trip by bus and boat. Durnstein was a lovely little town and great for an hour stop. The boat ride down the Danube was lovely. I decided to have lunch on the boat to get some shade and have more time to wander in Melk. It was a nice way to spend the Boat ride, and it was very warm on the top deck with little cover for shade...so lunch inside was nice. It was a bit unclear what there was to do in Melk, I sort of had to figure it out on my own. Before the Abbey tour there is a beautiful garden to see, a small museum, gift shop, beautiful views from around the property...but not many places to cool off on an extremely hot day! There is also a restaurant to have lunch. It was a straight shot back to Vienna by bus...a relaxing and air conditioned ride home. I was in Vienna for 11 days to sing two concerts, so this day trip gave me the opportunity to get out of Vienna and see the beautiful countryside without having to rent a car.
Wonder trip and the river cruise was beautiful. Also toured the Melk Abby. A great way to see the Wachu Valley

We really enjoyed this tour it was a full day experience. First stop a picturesque wine growing village in the Wahau Valley, then an hours ride on a ferry boat on the Danube. One good tip from a review I read was to order lunch on the Ferry, saves time and enjoyable eating while sailing on the river. Then arriving at Melk being transported up to the Abbey, after a wander around the gardens we had a guided tour or the Abbey. It was all done at a leisurely pace, a really enjoyable day

It was a nice combination of comfortable, informative, travel out of Vienna to a lovely little town and then on to catch the boat on the Danube. The Melk Abbey and tour exceeded my expectations.
Reasonable length ride to the various stops. The boat ride to Melk Abbey was especially nice. Our guide, Claudia, did an excellent job of giving us an extensive commentary on the history of the areas we visited.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The bus operator was safe. The Danube tour is amazing!
