Vores tur starter fra Athen. På denne fantastiske heldagstur vil du se de smukkeste seværdigheder og landskaber. På vores vej vil jeg give dig en masse information om historie, mytologi og kultur. Vi vil nyde et besøg i Delphi, verdens roman og de religiøse steder i Meteora. Vi kommer også forbi Thermopylae, hvor de 300 spartanere kæmpede og den betagende Arachova. Jeg kan tilpasse tidsplanen, varigheden og aktiviteterne for at imødekomme dine behov. Fortæl mig venligst om eventuelle specielle ønsker du har.

Rejseplan
Vores tur starter fra Athen, og så kører vi til Thermopylae, hvor vi besøger Thermopylae's Innovative Center for Historisk Information, og vi vil se Statue of Leonidas.
Derefter vil vi køre til den betagende Meteora, hvor vi vil besøge mange klostre, bygget på toppen af 1000 fods klipper, som det hellige kloster Varlaam, Rousanou og den hellige treenighed. Så tager vi en pause til en kaffe på Kalabaka. Kørsel gennem de smukke sten landsbyer Arachova, hvor vi kan stoppe, så du kan tage billeder og købe souvenirs.
Efter en vidunderlig naturskønt kørsel gennem bjerge og frugtbare dale, når vi til Delphi, der ligger under det 3000ft høje bjerg Parnassos. Der vil vi besøge det arkæologiske museum i Delphi, vi vil se det arkæologiske område Delphi og stedet for Apollo-templet.
I det stop ses vi en fantastisk luxurius landsby, der blev bygget på kanten af bjerget, fantastisk udsigt, god tid til at slappe af og tage en kaffe eller souvenirer.
Distomo en dramatisk landsby i 1944 350 mennesker mistede deres liv, det var en nazistiske krigsforbrydelse begået af medlemmer af Waffen-SS i landsbyen Distomo, Grækenland, i 1944 under den tyske besættelse af Grækenland under anden verdenskrig.
I dette ekstra lokale område...!!! I slutningen af turen vil alle rejsende nyde i en meget beutifull græsk TAVERNA græsk mad som grill mad, salater, ørkener, vin, øl, bløde dinks. Alt dette mad betales fra vores copmany, alt inklusive måltid i sidste ende for alle.

This was exactly the 1-day trip outside of Athens we had hoped for. Make no mistake. Delphi and Meteora are not near Athens, but these incredible sights are worth the long day in the car (~8h round trip + ~3.5h sight seeing). What made it all the better was the incredible service. Our driver and tour guide Paddy was THE BEST. He knew where to go, when to be there, what pit stops would be most convenient, and always had cold drinks and snacks ready. We could not have wished for a better trip. Note that depending on season, weather, traffic, etc. you may need to be flexible. But you will be in good hands. Make sure to tip your driver generously. We did the Thermopylae, Meteora and Delphi Private Full Day Tour with our guide Ozzy and had an absolutely wonderful time! Ozzy is such an amazing source of knowledge, and explains things so well that we were all (12yr old to 49 yr old) mesmerised for the whole day. We started early, and my plan was to have a nap in the car in the morning, but as soon as Ozzy started talking I was hooked and wide awake. He managed to avoid some rain clouds by rearranging the order of the sites so that by the time we got to them we had clear blue skies and plenty of time to walk around them. We as a family of 4 had one of the best experiences on our holiday by having Ozzy take us around, and we cannot recommend it more! So many amazing memories, and we learned so much too! Wonderful experience seeing these 2 UNESCO world heritage sites. A must see when in Athens. Our tour guide and driver. Giorgio was very informative. We got picked up on time in a Mercedes sedan. The ride was long but very comfortable and safe.

This day was magical. Dimos became our friend throughout the day. He was knowledgeable and friendly. The locations were so cool. Particularly, Meteora. We have already recommended that location to friends. The car was clean and comfortable. This was a once in a lifetime tour!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Delphi and Meteora Private Day Trip from Athens with Theodores Travel! Our guide for the day was a wonderful gentleman named Patty, and he truly went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. My husband is 85 years old with mobility issues, and I am also disabled. Traveling to historic sites can sometimes be daunting, but Patty made everything incredibly accessible and comfortable for us. Thanks to his attentiveness and care, we were able to fully enjoy and experience these special places without any stress. Not only was he accommodating, but he was also an exceptional guide. Patty explained the history of each site in great detail, and he spoke so clearly that he was incredibly easy to understand. What an amazing day! Our private driver (Nikos) picked us up at our hotel right on time. He drove us to Metora, explaining things along the way. Once in Meteora he took us to a number of the monasteries and allowed us as much time as we wanted at each. He also stopped at a number of incredible photo spots. We continued on to Delphi and, again, Nikos allowed us as much time as we wanted. The drive through the mountains was stunning (if you are inclined to be carsick on winding mountain roads, be warned!). Dinner at their private restaurant was very good! On our way back to the hotel, Nikos gave us additional bonus tips for our next day of exploring Athens on our own. I would recommend this to everyone - it was amazing!
