Tutankhamons grav, også kendt under sit gravnummer, KV62, er gravstedet for Tutankhamon (regerede ca. 1332-1323 f.Kr.), en farao fra det attende dynasti i det gamle Egypten, i Kongernes Dal. Graven består af fire kamre og en indgangstrappe og korridor. Den er mindre og mindre omfattende udsmykket end andre egyptiske kongegrave på sin tid, og den opstod sandsynligvis som en grav for et ikke-kongeligt individ, der blev tilpasset til Tutankhamons brug efter hans alt for tidlige død. Memnon-kolosserne (også kendt som el-Colossat eller el-Salamat) er to monumentale statuer, der repræsenterer Amenhotep III (1386-1353 f.v.t.) af det 18. dynasti i Egypten. Our trip to Luxor was a truly unforgettable experience. From the hotel we were picked up in an air-conditioned private vehicle and started with a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Our guide, Hany, was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything about Egyptian history and the pharaohs. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut was impressive, and the Colossi of Memnon were very impressive. At the end of the day we visited the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. This tour is a must for anyone interested in history and archaeology!
