Dachau Private Tour med licensguide med tog fra München

Everyone who has the chance to do so needs to visit a concentration camp site. It is truly a moving and emotional experience. In order to keep history from repeating itself, it’s important to educate ourselves and learn from the historical mistakes of the past. While it may be painful, it’s vital that we never forget these moments of man’s inhumanity to man. Jason, our guide, was knowledgeable and respectful, and he navigated the transportation schedule vsngeseith ease.

We learned so much from our tour guide, Jason, whose knowledge on the topic of Dachau was encyclopedic! We peppered him with all manner of questions the entire day and there was not one he could not answer in great detail. We were also delighted that although Jason‘s been living in Munich for 20 years and more recently in the village of Dachau itself, he was born and raised in Illinois. Should you take this tour, and you really should you’d be most fortunate to have such a professional and friendly guide as Jason to educate you on this horrifying yet fascinating place

We had an outstanding experience with our guide Keith at Dachau. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the history in a clear, engaging, and respectful way. His passion for the subject was evident throughout the tour, and he made a very complex and emotional topic easy to understand. He was also extremely patient, attentive, and happy to answer every question with care and detail. Thanks to him, our visit was not only informative but also deeply meaningful. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Dachau.

This was a stress free way to visit Dachau. Munich train station is a lot to manage so it was good to have a guide.

Lucia was amazing. Her knowledge of history and her ability to express the process of how Dachau was made, the pre-history behind it and the details of the actual place exceeded expectations.

Our guide Jason was very knowledgeable on the history of this camp and others. He was also very helpful in sorting out the mess the trains were in on the day of the tour.

We were very lucky to have Keith as our guide to Dachau. From the travel logistics to Keith’s knowledge of history and the camp, the tour was invaluable. Keith was so knowledgeable and able to answer our many questions. Highly recommend!

Jason was fantastic. His ability to break down the history was fascinating and we really enjoyed it. It is a heavy subject matter. We took the train from the station from Munich and Jason let us fire off 100% of our questions from the get go. Spring for the private tour. If you’re like us, you want the most bang for your buck, and this is it.

Our family booked the Dachau Private Tour through Viator, and it became one of the most powerful and emotional experiences of our lives—largely because of our incredible guide, Lucy. From the very beginning, Lucy helped us understand not just the history, but the humanity behind it. Her explanation of how the Nazi Party came into power was clear, thoughtful, and deeply informative, giving us the context needed to truly grasp the magnitude of what followed. At Dachau, Lucy guided us with great care, respect, and compassion. She spoke honestly about the atrocities that took place, while allowing space for reflection. She never rushed us. Instead, she gave us the time we needed to absorb the emotions, the silence, and the weight of such a tragic place in history. It was not just a tour—it was an experience that will stay with our family forever. On the train ride back, Lucy continued to go above and beyond. We asked for restaurant recommendations, and both of her suggestions were perfect—thoughtful choices that helped bring a sense of comfort at the end of such a heavy day. Lucy is not only knowledgeable, but genuinely compassionate and deeply respectful of the history she shares. If you are considering this tour on Viator, we cannot recommend it enough—especially with Lucy as your guide. This is more than a tour; it is something you will carry with you long after it ends.

Nick was a fantastic tour guide with great insight. We had elderly parents with us that needed assistance. He was patient and attentive. The tour was thorough and heavy but so interesting.
