Vi ankommer til den nordlige port af Cotopaxi nationalpark mellem 9:15 til 9:30 om morgenen efter kørsel langs Avenue of the Volcanoes
Horseback ride vil være den første aktivitet i løbet af denne dag for omkring ok time / eneste ridning i nationalparken.
Vi vil køre efter ridning i omkring 35 minutter fra 4000 meter (12000 fod) til 4550 meter (15000 fod) for at starte vandreturen af dagen.
Vi vil starte vandreturen op til Basecamp mål 4900 meter (16000 fod) i ca. 1 time ca. for at komme til Refugio José Rivas. Hvor vi kan spise og få hit drinks.
Vi vil blive her og nyde atmosfæren i Basecamp og derefter gå ned til parkeringspladsen for at begynde at vende tilbage
Vi vil forlade den nationale ved hjælp af den sydlige port / turist side. Omkring 3 timer tilbage fra parkeringspladsen på vulkanen

Pick up tid mellem 07:00 til 07:30 afhængigt af din placering i Quitos hovedby. Denne info vil blive bekræftet ved 7 pm dagen før, når vi kender det endelige antal deltagere placeringer. Smooth communication, great tour experience, nice and competent guides, no prior experience is necessary for riding, as the animals are great. Great view of and from Cotopaxi.

The company reached out a few days before we left for Ecuador and provided valuable information for packing and prep. We were contacted again with the name of our guide and confirmed our pick up location (our hotel) and time. We were contacted the morning of our tour by our guide, Adrian. We had an amazing day with Adrian. He was a great driver, gave us interesting information about Quito and Ecuador and acted as a translator when/if we needed it. Adrian helped us get from spot to spot, kept us appraised of what we were doing next and how long drives would take. He kept an eye on us as we hiked up to base camp (without acclimatizing which I don’t recommend) and gave us warning signs for altitude sickness and asked us to let him know if we were feeling sick. We had a truly awesome day, the tour took up most of the day but we were back at our hotel by 1630. We traveled with a 10 and 11 year old and felt safe and engaged the entire day. Highly recommend! I had an excellent experience. The service was very good from the beginning, the guide was always attentive, and everything was very well organized. I absolutely loved the horseback riding—it was a different and very enjoyable experience, even without any previous experience. We also had wonderful weather, which allowed us to enjoy beautiful views of Cotopaxi Volcano and the National Park. Without a doubt, it’s an experience I highly recommend and would definitely do again. Thank you so much for everything.

We had an amazing experience with our guide Dario! He was friendly and very knowledgeable. I like that the park fee was included in the price so it was one less thing to worry about. It was my husband and I first time on a horse and Dario did a good job of explaining and making sure we didn’t fall too far behind. We got some great photos with Cotopaxi in the background. As far as the car ride up the volcano, the road was bumpy so I would recommend some medication for motion sickness if that affects you and as for the actual hike we took the longer route and made sure to take breaks because my husband is not used to the altitude, but we made it! I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for an adventure!

Fantastic experience! We booked the night before and communication with the hosts was still very clear and fast. All logistics were made so simple for us; from getting picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Quito to having all admission requirements for the park taken care of for us. Dario was a fantastic tour guide and driver. The horse ride was amazing and the hike to the base camp of Cotopaxi was a once in a lifetime experience! We highly recommend this experience!

Everything about this tour was amazing! Booking was super easy and our coordinator was very very helpful. As for the actual tour, I would most definitely recommend it to anyone considering. Our guide Pauli was super knowledgeable and caring! She took lots of photos for us and made sure we got the most out of our trip. Transportation was easy and very comfortable. We had a wonderful day horseback riding and hiking up to basecamp of Cotopaxi. It was everything we wanted. From the moment we were picked up through to drop off was smooth. We stopped and grabbed delicious sandwiches for lunch at basecamp. Our guide Jorge was knowledgeable, attentive and encouraging. Horseback riding in the Andes was incredible. The scenery and volcanic features one of a kind. The horses were friendly and as someone with limited horseback riding it was perfect. We even galloped along! Once we got going again, Jorge flexed some impressive driving skills on the back road up the mountain to the parking lot. It is typical of a back country mountain road with lots of fun bumps! The hike was not long but it was challenging due to the altitude - but Jorge took great care to go at the pace I needed because we had never hiked above 12500 ft. Just take your time and let your guide know what you need. In the end we made it in good time! He encouraged slow and steady and stopped when the altitude was affecting me a little. It was such a rush to get to base camp! Cotopaxi was beautiful as it peaked in and out of the clouds. Such an amazing day!!! Thank you Jorge!
