The audio guide does have some interesting facts, but I am pretty sure that the person behind it used AI to write it. Not only is the audio read by an AI voice, but the tour itself uses a lot of superlative words and sometimes begins to describe something only to neglect to describe parts of it. For example, it would start describing the different panels in a stained glass window, but then neglect to describe others. Occasionally it would repeat certain details, not to call back to them but to plainly stating them again. Also, it was pretty hard to follow the guide when the remains of the Magi were locked in an inaccessible area. Mind you, I wouldn't really have minded the use of AI if it had been advertised, and I think that this guide might still have some value. However, I would be lying if I said there wasn't a lot that could be improved upon. Also, if you want a closer look at the remains of the Magi, you're best off booking a real guide anyways.

The guide is easy to use and convenient. The information is well-structured. It is actually very focused on the stained-glass windows. I would recommend detailing the general history of the cathedral and its construction more.

negative: We could not look at the cathedral portal outside due to the crowd of people. We practically had to go into the cathedral immediately after showing the tickets. positive: Very precise description and background information on the individual works.

The app and photos should be downloaded in advance. It’s very hard to follow and I’d suggest printing the map to have as a visual once inside. Info is interesting but I’d pay a few euro more to do the official guides tour. The Cathedral is spectacular and I did learn a lot and loved going at my own pace, once we could figure out where each photo was located.
