Vi starter vores madtur på den verdensberømte Tasty Dumpling, hvor du vil smage deres pandestegte svine- og purløgsboller. Mens du spiser, vil din rejseguide lære dig et par tricks om, hvordan de får deres signaturboller til at smage så lækkert.
På vej til næste madstop besøger vi Mosco Street. Denne gade kan være lille, men den er hjemsted for noget unik kinesisk gadekunst og tilbyder også et af de bedste udsigtspunkter til at fotografere One World Trade Center.
Vores madtur ville ikke være komplet uden at besøge Mei Lai Wah. Denne næsten 60 år gamle restaurant er berømt for at sælge de bedste Char Siu-svineboller i byen. De laver noget sødt, krydret og saftigt svinekød, før de propper det i en dampet kinesisk Bao-bolle. Dette sted er et af de 'hvis du ved, du ved'-steder, og det vil med garanti få mundvandet til at løbe.
Vores næste stop er ved Doyer Street aka Murder Alley. Beliggende i hjertet af Chinatown har denne gade en mørk historie og plejede at være stedet, hvor rivaliserende kinesiske bander ville løse deres uoverensstemmelser tilbage i 1800-tallet (bare rolig, men gaden er meget sikker nu!)
Dernæst tager vi til Spongies Cafe for at smage en svampekage i Hong Kong-stil sammen med en prøve af deres hjemmelavede søde thailandske te. Den lette, luftige kage og den forfriskende te skaber den perfekte kombination – en unik og lækker delikatesse, du ikke vil gå glip af!
Når vi forlader Chinatown og krydser ind i Little Italy, har vi mulighed for at stoppe ved skiltet 'Welcome to Little Italy'. Dette ikoniske sted tilbyder det perfekte sted at tage et hurtigt billede i hjertet af Little Italy med Empire State Building i baggrunden.
Vi stopper ved Piemonte Ravioli, en familieejet pasta-fremstilling butik, der har været en Little Italy hovedprodukt i over 100 år. Mens vi er der, får du at prøve deres håndlavede kartoffel gnocchi med en hjemmelavet marinara sauce.

Excellent and great portions to try. Will have substitute choices if you are vegetarian. Seth was fantastic and took his time in explaining the food, the history, and the area where we toured. We chose the 10:30 tour as our “lunch plans” for the day. Well worth the cost of the tour.
Matilda, using the 10:30 tour as your lunch plans is exactly the right call, and we're glad the portions backed that up. Seth likes to slow down and explain what you're eating and why the block around it looks the way it does, so it's good to hear that came through. Having options for vegetarians is something we work at, so thanks for flagging it for anyone reading. Hope you'll join us on another Chinatown and Little Italy food tour sometime.
we had the pleasure of having alex as our tour guide. she was amazing and it ended up just being our party during the tour which was super nice and we actually got to hear the history and have a more immersed experience. the food was all soooo yummy. had the best time! the cheesecake was by far the winner. definitely worth the money would 100% do it again. it was the perfect amount of time and walking for us and we ended up being in soho for more shopping after

Great tours guide, shexwas very informative and knowledgeable about the area. For me it was way too much walking and I bailed out halfway through to tour. I wish I had known before it was walking a lot of city blocks. The blocks are narrow and really crowded making it difficult to maneuver. Not their fault but mine for not asking before booking.

You're right that the Chinatown and Little Italy food tour covers a good stretch of blocks, and those streets get narrow and crowded, so it's a fair thing to flag for anyone booking. This has been the highlight of our trip to New York! David is super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We enjoy learning different interesting facts about the city and the neighborhoods. All the food we had was great! This is a great way to see and taste these iconic places in the city. Highly recommend!

David loves weaving neighborhood facts in between bites, and it sounds like he was in top form with your group on the Chinatown and Little Italy food tour. Emily was a fantastic host! She provided history of the areas and was so prepared at every spot. All the food was fantastic and we got to explore Chinatown and Little Italy. I enjoyed that it was a smaller group so it was a bit more personal. I would definitely recommend this tour and Emily as a guide!

Alex was lovely, super nice and knowledgeable about the area! They also provided fans for the duration of the tour! And of course the food was amazing, we really liked the pork buns, and our guide was great about having things ready when we got there!
