Ballon is going on its own course. But well piloted. It was an experience just been on other rides and they could fly it to designated areas. Did the 2hour massage and that was awesome! Professional and nice place

According to viator they don't fly with visibility less then 5 km. We couldn't even see 200 meter and where still flying. The pilot wasn't happy with it either. We expexted a nice view over the area but we could only see clouds and fog. All the personel around the flight where very kind and helpfull. The pilot was a great guy as well. For us the massage at the spa was making up for the disapointing ballooning experience.

While the clouds may have obstructed some of the panoramic views you were hoping for, many passengers find floating above a sea of clouds in the golden light of sunrise to be a magical and memorable experience in itself. We understand your disappointment about the limited visibility and empathize with your expectations for clearer views. I was picked up on time from my door and taken to the hot air balloon site. All necessary COVID precautions were taken. I was treated to a light breakfast before we started. The pilot provided a safety briefing then we were up up and away. To say the view over Chiang Mai was breathtaking would be an understatement. I felt completely safe the whole time and the pilot was very pleasant. After our flight, we were treated to a traditional champagne toast. I had a great experience. After the hot air balloon ride, I was taken to the spa for my massage. It was very relaxing. I got a delicious beverage and snack before and after my treatments. I requested a substitute treatment and they were super accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend this package.

We both had a lovely time well organised,and on time for our early pick up ,clear sky’s made the sunrise look amazing , nice breakfast and champagne 🍾, the only little niggle user would have liked a bit information about where we flying over landmarks etc ,if did not ask I don’t think he would have said a word , saying that the pilot was polite as were the rest of the team. And Wow just wow at the Fah Lanna spa absolutely loved every second of it amazing place and staff , I heard a few o e click back into place .. brilliant and a free taxi home 10/10
Fah Lanna spa, the top rated spa in Chiang Mai, was the tour operator for Viator. They say in this tour instructions they’ll reach out on pick up details 24 hours before the tour, so we did with our hotel for pick up. We woke up at 4:30am on the day we were leaving Thailand for this romantic trip and waited for an hour in the lobby of the hotel. We called Fah Lanna and Viator, no one could get in contact with the operator or the driver. Fah Lanna refused to accept responsibility for the gaff and will not refund us the $877 we paid. Viator has been no help except they offered us a $25 discount code for our next tour. Don’t book with Viator despite seeming like a quality US company who would guarantee a high price tour.
Dear Your review does not come as a surprise as it is along the lines of your communication with us. Fact is: 1. The arranged meeting point was the main entrance to the Shangri-la hotel. According to your message, you stayed next to the Shangri-la hotel but not at the hotel and you agreed to meet at the main entrance to the hotel. The driver looked for your at the main entrance at the gate from the street, and together with the hotel staff at entrance to the building and inside the building but could not find you. He proceeded to look for your at the neighbouring condo as well, then left after 30 minutes to pick up other customers and then returned after 6 am to look for you again. According to your message, you waited in the hotel lobby on an upper floor. We checked with the hotel night staff working at the time you said you waited in the lobby but they told us they did not see any non hotel guests waiting in the lobby. So, we could not verify that you were at the lobby on the upper floor as you claimed. 2. You wrote to us that you tried to contact the balloon company but reached a fax machine. On your TripAdvisor Experiences ticket, we provide a mobile phone number for emergencies. We do not know what number you tried calling, but it couldn't have been the number we provide on your ticket. 3. As we understand that it disappointing to miss a booked activity, both the balloon company and the spa agreed to offer you an alternative date to do the activity at no extra cost. You did not reply to our message, did not say whether you wish to take up the offer, whether you will not be able to accept due to other plans. We never received any reply from you, even though we kept your slots available until the offered date. It would have been courteous to respond to our message to let us know you will not be able to make another date and kindly discuss with us whether any money could be refunded. The first time we hear from you is this review. We do object to the claims you make in your review as we have certainly done our best to find you and also tried to accommodate you for the activity at another date when you failed to show up. Even the Shangri-la hotel staff could not verify that you were at the upper floor lobby as you claimed and at 5.30 am any non hotel guests waiting in the lobby without certainly catch the attention of the staff. It is very sad to see customers to resort to angry review making false claims when we tried our best and have gone out of the way to find you and accommodate you and you did not even bother to reply to our kind offer. In future, we do recommend a direct communication with an activity provider to find a solution in a direct and honest fashion. With best regards, Fah Lanna management
<p>Fantastic, from beginning to end we were really looked after. The sunrise as you glide silently over the scenery was fantastic and to finish off with the best massage I have ever had was just the perfect day.</p>
