Bad experience, I booked the tour the day before and it was confirmed by e-mail. I went to the designated meeting spot communicated but no one showed up
This was a most pleasant way to spend a few hours if you are spiritually inclined and wish to immerse yourself in Hindu tple culture.
100% recommended. If you want to discover the temples, the gods and hindu culture this is the tour to get. The guide Manikanda was so respectful and generous in his sharing. It was the best guide I could have for my first step in discovering hinduism. He made me feel safe and welcome. Thank you Manikanda for the tour. Unforgettable.
Guide changed the starting point and failed to tell us. We had to get another taxi to get to the starting point, all that took 90 extra minutes. Guide did not take us to any of the locations noted on the tour itinerary. Awful experience and huge waste of our limited time on vacation.
Mr Nanda was great! Out of all the guided we met, he was the most knowledgeable and honest about Hinduism. Took us around the temples and explained the purpose of each area and the significance. I’m not Hindu but I have a lot of respect for them all. Great walk and highly recommended them!
I had amazing experience with my guide Tharun . I can’t recommend this walk enough for anyone interested in Hindu mythologies, religious rites and ceremonies . The temples covered on this walk are outside of the Mylapore temple complex and well worth the visit . Starting with the first temple dedicated to Lord Shiva the healer and medicine god to the amazing seashore temple featuring the eight emanations of Lakshmi this tour is a feast for the senses and the soul . I did the tour at 5 pm and felt that doing it after dark heightened my experience - the glow of the offering candles , the divinities surrounded by fire , the incense aroma was incredible . I witnessed a procession of one of the gods around the temple which was accompanied by music - horns , drumming and the devotion of the worshipers . It was a privilege to witness such profound devotion and rapture . A celebration of living myth , participation in an ancient ritual . Tharun is a lovely mild mannered intelligent young man who told me many wonderful stories about the different gods , carvings , rituals we saw . Highly recommended for any spiritual seeker and visitor to amazing Chennai .
