Dette er en privat tur med en 7-sæder van (pris for 6 personer). Vi må ikke gå eller guide i den gamle bydel på grund af licensbegrænsninger. Vi vil køre rundt i byen i 2 timer og besøge forskellige steder, så vil vi droppe dig af i Chania gamle bydel til at tilbringe 2 timer til at vandre rundt i de maleriske gader og have frokost. Vil forklare kultur og traditioner og hvordan de dannede den moderne dag by Chania. Chanias gamle bydel er blevet beboet siden oldtiden. Det har altid været et sted for velstand og vækst, påvirket af de forskellige indtrængere og de forskellige kulturer, der formede den moderne by Chania. Vores guider er flydende på engelsk, lokale og elsker at dele viden. Rejsende kunne valgfrit lave vinsmagning, besøge en strand, en kløft eller have frokost. Vil droppe dig på Talos-pladsen på den vestlige side af Chania gamle bydel. Vi må ikke gå eller guide i den gamle bydel på grund af licensbegrænsninger. Du vil have omkring 2 timer til rådighed til at gå på egen hånd rundt i de maleriske gader, udforske byen, shoppe eller have frokost.
Besøg Commonwealth Cemetery, det er meget velplejet med flot udsigt over Souda bugten. De fleste soldater begravet er fra slaget ved Kreta i 2. verdenskrig (20. maj til 1. juni 1941)

Petro was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about the history of Chania. He was very accommodating to our needs and explained the history of the region thoroughly. At 6’9”, he was easy to spot on pickup. We had a great time visiting Chania and can’t wait to go back.

My family of six adults took two tours, one with George (educated in Britain, and one with Peter (educated in South Carolina). Each brother was stellar, completely fluent in English (although the difference in their accents was hilarious) and thoroughly knowledgeable in the varied history of this storied and complex place. They were each perfect gentlemen, patient, helpful, and generous with their time and expertise. They answered every question and enriched the experience beyond all expectations. We hope to return and take more excursions with them in the future.

This is an exceptional excursion! Nikos was so kind and knowledgeable of the island. He made us feel like we were family. I walk using a walker and he did everything to make me feel comfortable. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

George “the tall guy” was a great guide. He is obviously well educated in history and politics and we learned quite a bit about the wars and current military installations in Crete. The church atop the hill was inspirational. The mostly self guided tour of the Venetian portion of Chania was great because George told us what not to miss and arranged for an oil, balsamic, raki, honey and nut butter tasting which was fantastic. We ended up buying a bunch of items because we knew how good it tasted. We purchased beautiful linens. After viewing outside and inside the walls of the old city, we toured some additional beaches. It’s cool now but the water was calm and shallow. It’s perfect for when it’s hot out. I’d highly recommend a tour with George because he customized it to meet our expectations.

Each traveller has different priorities and interests, eg history or shopping. Our tour guides try to focus on your interests, and put more weight on what you like. George is no exception and because your accommodation was close to these nice beaches, spent a little bit more time driving around them. In this tour lunch is optional, as well as wine tasting, visiting the archaeological museum or the synagogue. My family spent the day exploring Chania with George. Since we were in a small van, we were able to get very close to many sites instead of parking and walking long distances. George provided lots of information about each site and more information between sites. We left feeling we had seen the major sites and gotten a taste of daily life in Chania. George was well informed on world events and was able to compare/contrast Greece and the US (our home). Much appreciated and would recommend!
