First time in South Africa my wife and I wanted to get a good idea about the southern part of the country. This was the reason for this tour. Our driver picked us up at the very crowded cruise terminal in Cape Town. Due to lack of communication regarding a meeting point we found the driver after 2 hours. The driver Mucze was very nice and told us that we were the only participants on this tour when we started the tour in a relative comfortable small SUV. The tour visited all points as it was described in the tour description. However, we did not have time to visit Cape Town attractions, because we had to stay with the tour plan. But the following three days were absolutely outstanding, the beautiful nature, the stunning coast lines and the visited destinations were wonderful and the weather was sunny and warm. For example we saw the most southern point of Africa, saw the Pinguin colony in Betty Cove and had a great wine tasting visit at Bangalore Vinyards. Up to Port Elisabeth the tour was amazing, but then the weather changed and it was raining all day long and temperatures went down. Overnight we stayed at Guesthouses and Hotels. The Guesthouses were ok and the hotels were selected 4 star hotels, all with breakfast included. One guesthouse near the town of Underberg we did not accept, because it was in the the middle of nowhere, it was raining cats and dogs and they did not have Internet, but the operator arranged another hotel in Durban, which was very good. All in all we enjoyed the tour, but 7 days with a daily average travel tour of around 300 to 350 KM (around 225 to 250 miles) is quite a lot. Also to mention that the real interesting part of the journey was between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth with many interesting points to visit. The last 2 days towards the way up to Durban was not so interesting and we would have skipped that part probably.
