This Balaton tour was very enjoyable and interesting. Herend Porcelain Factory and museum were beautiful. They do a good job to demonstrate how they make porcelain figures of all sizes and shapes. Big temptation to buy them all. Balatonfüred and Tihany were both beautiful. Great views, very good lunch. Attila was a great guide with an excellent sense of humor. Thank you Attila.
We had a wonderful trip out of Budapest to the Lake Balaton region. We especially enjoyed the tour of the Herend Porcelain Factory. Our guide, Susan, was a wealth of knowledge and gave us additional details concerning the history of Hungary which helped us connect things we'd previously heard. Lake Balaton aka the Hungarian Sea was even more beautiful than I had imagined. When you've seen the sights in Budapest - definitely take this trip to Lake Balaton!
Our tour guide Atilla made the trip wonderful! Informative, attentive, and authentic. Lake Balatan is such a beautiful area. We got lucky with the weather. Rode a ferry boat, fed the swans, and immersed ourselvs in the history of the area. What more would you want?
Our tour guide Nora was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area. Even though we had some rain she made sure we all had an enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend this trip and Nora for the tour guide.
We had a really great time seeing part of Hungary that many tourists don't get to experience. Lake Balaton was beautiful. The vineyard had an amazing view and Tihany was a must see. We even got to go for a swim. Susan was so knowledgeable and took care to make sure our girls (6 and 9) were included. Maybe my favorite part of our time in Budapest!

Excellent tour. Susan was a great tour guide, very informative.We had a lovely day with her The Balaton are was beautiful. She took us to the traditional restaurant in Tihany to try a delicious authentic Hungarian fish soup. After lunch she took us to a beautiful winery with an amazing view. We tasted some of the best wine! Thank you!

A good day for a day trip to lake balaton on a big national holiday when the city would be jampacked. it was a hot day but still a nice day to be out and see the beautiful area. i was hoping to see some lavender fields as i kept mentioning to our private driver Atilla, but we did not stop at one. I thought a private tour could be tweaked somehow. oh we did, we managed to stop at the Tihany Abbey, which even the nonprivate tour stops at. The TIhany postcards always have the Abbey and the lavenders! We stopped at a porcelain factory, the pretty town of Balatonfured, and had a relaxing lunch at Csopak. I think the nonprivate tour would have been just as good, at the fraction of the cost.

Attila is a professional tour guide, he organises every private tour according to the guests wishes, we are very flexible. He stopped with you at the lavender fields as you asked , however the field looked only green because lavender has blossomed by the end of August. The postcard photos were taken in early June when lavender blooms. This situation is out of our control. The non private tour group tour is really rushed, picking up 30-40 guests from different hotels in Budapest, guided sometimes in 3-4 languages in the same time. Non private Balaton tours are held only once a week from May to September, our private tour is available 365 days all year. Apart from this misunderstanding we hope you enjoyed your stay here. <p>Knowing we were in Budapest for a full week, we were looking for a day off where we didn't have to make any decisions and instead follow along while a guide showed us around. This tour did not disappoint. Susan showed up a little bit early and was friendly right from the start. The minute we got in her car, she was giving us interesting tidbits about Budapest we would never have otherwise known. She was funny and we managed to have some 'inside jokes' throughout the day. </p> <p>The tour itself was great. We got out of the car a few times in order to see different parts of the lake and had a great trip to the Herend factory just outside of town. Susan continued to give us some great information and history about the area. </p> <p>We loved this tour and can not recommend Susan enough. She was the perfect person to show us around and was so pleasant to spend a day with. It was a great tour!</p>
