An unforgettable tour in East Java with friendly and helpful drivers Mr. Agung in Yogyakarta and Mr. Mull on our Mt Bromo and Kawah Ijen leg of the journey. As two female travelers we felt safe and completely at ease with them. Mr. Agung was knowledgeable and took the time and patience to satisfy our curiosity by answering our questions. Mr. Mull put us at ease as we were nervous about climbing Mt Bromo and Ijen. Very happy with the professionalism of Smartine and would definitely use their services again.

It's all right. We had fun and enriched ourselves. The drivers very helpful and the train journey very comfortable. Widodu very nice and attentive.

We were picked up in Yogy for the temple tour, then train in the afternoon to Malang, then picked up by our adorable driver Mull for the Bromo and Ijen tour. Everything went great and we are very happy with the organization of Smartine! Thanks also to all the very nice guides we had!

Our trip with Smartine Indonesia Travel was superbly organised from the very first moment and full of personal attention. A special thanks goes to Eki, who accompanied us via email and WhatsApp. She was always available, responded immediately to changes and responded flexibly to all our requests – always friendly, warm and with a real sense of perfect customer service, above all, everything was customizable. Our tour should start in Yogyakarta with a visit to Prambanan Temple. Unfortunately we arrived 8 hours late as our connecting flight was cancelled in Singapore. This was no problem for Eki – she reorganized everything within a very short time, postponed the tour to the next day and made sure that we were even picked up late in the evening by the driver Agung. Agung was fantastic: polite, pleasant, speaks very good English and was able to give us a lot of exciting information during the drive. He was by far the best driver of our entire journey – we felt safe and welcome at all times. The further itinerary was also perfectly coordinated. Train tickets to Malang, tickets, hotels, breakfast boxes – nothing was missing. Widoddo then took over as driver for the second part of our trip – and he was a real asset too. He is calm, very professional, helpful and reliable. His car was comfortable with plenty of space and leather seats, daily there was fresh water. Widodo was not only a fast and good driver, but also a wonderful companion. When we had to skip Mount Ijen due to a cold, he brought us flexibly and without any circumstances directly to the accommodation in Licin which required 6/7 hours. On the way, he even spontaneously organized a great lunch at a charming local restaurant. We are deeply grateful for this special experience. Thanks to Eki, Agung and Widodo, we felt safe, understood and in good hands at all times. Smartine Indonesia Travel is there with all its heart – absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to experience Java individually and authentically!

The tour was very well organised with clear communication with Lita from Smartine and the drivers throughout the entire trip. Both our drivers (Agung in Yogyakarta and Mull for the rest of our trip) were very kind and spoke good English. They were open to share any knowledge/experience they have to gain a better understanding of the culture and way of life in Java. During the hike at Kawah Ijen, we had Lily as our guide who knows a lot about the mining environment and conditions, which made it very insightful. In conclusion, we loved the tour every step of the way!

We had an amazing time during our tour! The agency was super helpful, they added sunrise at Borobudur temple and drop off at the end of the tour in Ketapang harbor (ferry to Bali included) on our request. We spent one day with Agung in Yogyakarta while visiting the temples and the rest of the time in Malang and on mount Bromo with Didik. They're both super nice, friendly and qualified. They also speak a really good English so we had great conversations about local history and culture during our trip. Unfortunately Ijen was closed due to volcanic activities but the agency gave us immediately different new options to choose. We decided to visit Baluran National Park and we didn't regret it! We totally recommend this tour and agency!

A tour to recommend without reservation: the sunrise over Borobudur, the unreal landscapes of Bromo and Ijen volcanoes, ... Leader organization and a special mention for our Guide Wildan with whom we shared beautiful memories during the ascent of Bromo and for our driver Adhit in Yogya, thanks to which we could miraculously catch our train!! finally, the descent into the crater of Ijen, in the middle of the night, to observe the blue flames will remain unforgettable

Amazing experience to get to explore the most beautiful places of Java. Truly something you don't want to miss. Great to have your own driver/tour guide during the entire trip. We had Dodo as our driver, who was super kind and made us feel very safe during the trip. Would highly recommend!
