Bliv hentet på din bolig af din venlige chauffør og rejs til Setumbu Hill kl. 04:00. Se den betagende Borobudur solopgang udsigt. Når luften er frisk, og tågen begynder at løfte sig, vil solen omgive vulkanerne og terrassemarkerne. Du tager afsted ved daggry.
Vi henter fra dit hotel og går direkte til Setumbu-bakken tæt på Borobudur-templet for at se den betagende solopgang mellem vulkanen 2 Merbabu og Merapi-vulkanen fra setumbu-bakken. og efter solopgangstur vil vi gå til Udforsk Borobudur-templet. Dette er et af verdens virkelig store antikke monumenter, den største buddhistiske struktur overalt på jorden. Beliggende som det er i hjertet af den grønne Kedu-sletten, forstærker baggrunden af mægtige aktive vulkaner kun følelsen af ærefrygt.
Dernæst din tur med et besøg på lavatur ved vulkan Merapi af en jeep. Det er en af verdens mest aktive og farlige vulkaner.
Afslut turen med et besøg i det smukkeste hinduistiske tempel Prambanan. Dette er bygget i det niende århundrede og er den største tempelforbindelse dedikeret til Shiva i Indonesien. I highly recommend this tour! I chose the sunrise option, and it was absolutely worth it. The views were incredible and the whole experience was unforgettable. A special thank you to our tour guide, Matthias. He was excellent, professional, knowledgeable, and super friendly. The sunrise tour is highly recommended; you get a fantastic view of Mount Merapi. Matthias, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. He was punctual, friendly and had lots to tell us about the country, its people and its culture.

An excellent day all round! Matthias was organised and reached out to me the day before my trip confirming the plans. He was on time and handled all our reservations. Letting me relax in the car in the meantime - saved a lot of awkward hanging around which is appreciated particularly as a solo traveller. The sunrise was stunning at Borobudur - a real highlight. It’s a novelty being somewhere these days which isn’t flooded with tourists endlessly posing for photos as it was a limited number for the ‘VIP sunrise’. It made it feel more tranquil and personal. Being a bit cloudy made the guided tour nicer too as it wasn’t super hot. Prambanan was also another showstopper for me. Naturally being a Saturday it was busy with local tourists but it didn’t feel packed and gave it a nice family friendly atmosphere in the grounds outside. Matthias never rushed me nor did he drag each stop out. We went whenever I was ready. This was particularly good at Mt Merapi as unfortunately being so cloudy here, there was nothing to see. A pity but no one can control the weather. I am fortunate to have seen a few volcanoes in my time so this wasn’t a deal breaker. I was more excited for the temples anyway. Matthias found a great lunch spot overlooking the rice paddies at the end of the tour too. Staff here were friendly and attentive. Matthias was great to chat to, both about local history, religion, the sites and customs but also general conversation and getting to know me. Equally he was also happy to let me sleep between stops (which was needed after a 3am start of course!) I have to say it was also a breath of fresh air not being endlessly hassled throughout this tour about leaving him 5* star review and on multiple platforms. I’ve noticed this has become a real thing recently and I find very exhausting and feel less inclined to do so. But Matthias only mentioned it at the end and only if I was willing to. And for that, I certainly am willing to leave a review. So thank you Matthias for a wonderful day.
