Efter at have mødt din guide på det udpegede møde-/afgangssted i Battery Park, Lower Manhattan, vil din guide lede gruppen gennem Battery Park. Efterhånden som turen skrider ind i hjertet af Battery Park, støder vi på en rund, historisk struktur, kaldet Castle Clinton. Dagens tur inkluderer et besøg i det berømte Ellis Island-immigrant-bearbejdningsdepot, og ligeledes har Castle Clinton også spillet en rolle i vores immigranthistorie. Guidens kommentarer er lavet på øens grund uden for Ellis Island National Immigration Museum. Turen slutter på Ellis Island efter den guidede del af turen er afsluttet. A wonderful way to see and visit the statue and Ellis Island,verymuch enhanced by Debbie the tour guide, whose knowledge and experience just made the day for me. Would recommend both Debbie and this trip. A unique part of being in New York really not to be missed.

Our family had such a special experience on this tour. Traveling as a group of four, grandmother/mother, two daughters (mother) and a daughter/granddaughter, we immediately connected with our guide, who made us feel like we were part of her family. Our shared perspective made the entire day feel more personal and thoughtful. She had a natural way of bringing the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to life, weaving in meaningful stories while keeping everyone engaged, from the youngest to the oldest in our group. You could tell she genuinely understood how to connect with families, making sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the tour. What stood out most was her warmth and patience. She checked in often, made sure we stayed together, and answered every question with care and enthusiasm. It didn’t feel like a scripted tour, it felt like being shown around by a member of our family as well as someone who truly cared about our experience. Debbie was an amazing tour guide! She was very informative and fun to my family. We learned so much on this tour that would have been missed otherwise if we just tried to assemble the texts in the exhibits ourselves. We felt very safe and taken care of and would recommend anyone do this tour!
