Big Bus Athen Hop-On Hop-Off med valgfri Piraeus & Riviera

The Piraeus route only picks up once an hour. When booking it looked like there were buses every 20 minutes. Riviera line was less frequent. Waited at one stop for a bus and saw three city hopper sightseeing buses before the Big Bus arrived. Did not know how early the lines stopped. Booked the evening Athens tour and went out to catch the bus to the starting point only to learn the daily buses were no longer running. Was looking at a 40 minute walk to make it there and then a walk back after. That or pay for an Uber both ways. Ended up not doing it. Good idea but of the three companies making the same rounds Big Bus was easily the third place choice.

Easy way to experience Athens. Audio worked well and was informative. Buses were timely and clean. Ticket takers friendly and helpful. Would reccomend if you don’t have a lot of time to sightsee.

I booked a family ticket for me and my children to go on a hop on hop off bus tour just because of how helpful, kind and knowledgeable the ticket seller, Irene, was. We booked right from the sidewalk with Irene and it was exactly as she described. The tour itself was excellent. Friendly driver and highly entertaining tour

The route through Athens was good, and the audio guide was informative. BUT it is important to note when the last tour departs. The bus schedule is misleading. Ask questions! That it was not just us who experienced this was shown by the group of passengers who stood at the stop at the National Archaeological Museum and waited in vain. Additionally, it should be clear that the bus cannot always arrive on time due to traffic or may not stop directly at the stop. In any case, one should be flexible and not too tired on foot if one has to run afterward. I will consider the frequency of the trips as well as the departure time of the last trip on my next city trip and choose the bus company accordingly.

3 day ticket for travel all round the big sites of Athens then an open top bus down to the coast. Really enjoyed the convenience, the views, the ear piece commentary, and the way queue management worked. All excellent. Never had to wait long for the next bus to come.

It provided a good overview of the city. I especially enjoyed the optional Riviera route, although the commentary didn’t sync with where we were. Also, the first 30 minutes were only music before I realized I needed to switch seats to get an operational system. In addition, the closest stop to my hotel ended up being 25 minutes away. I wish I would have taken the red bus!

Easy to use. A little confusion due to a weekend concert closing roads to a stop near us. Wish they had longer hours. Stop pickup at 4:00.

Athens big bus was great and informative.

Wonderful way to see the high points of Athens with little time. Highly recommend easy to navigate and hits all the high points. If you arrive with luggage and can't check into your hotel or Airbnb use syntagma lockers to store it and you can pick up the bus right from there.

We booked a Big Bus from the cruise ship.it was ok getting onto the bus from the ship but after that the bus provided little help. The audio was poor quality and commentary scarce It was far from clear which route the bus wouid take which meant we didn’t get to the acropolis till afternoon when it was too late to climb it. The chaos trying to board the shuttle big bus back to the ship was appalling. Cruisers from other ships in port thought they had priority and so did our cruise line. Luckily two buses arrived straight after each other. So we were all able to board. There was a lack of big bus staff at the main stops to help passengers. Understood that Athens traffic and several cruise ships in port make things difficult but it was a wasted day from our point of view.
