Cemal was very accommodating and welcoming from the start. Even gave us turkish coffee and tea. He found out its my birthday and gave me a gift too. The horse ride views were stunning and breathtaking.

He has dedicated himself to rescuing horses and providing meaningful employment to refugees who have been forced to flee their homes due to war. Supporting his business feels like supporting a vital piece of the community. The horses themselves are stunning, incredibly well-cared for, and remarkably relaxed, reflecting the kindness of their environment. Watching the sunrise over the valleys from the back of these gentle animals was a magical, serene experience. If you want a tour that combines breathtaking beauty with a truly noble cause, do not miss the chance to ride with Cemal.
Absolutely phenomenal! This was such a special experience! We did the 2 hour horse riding tour at sunset. The views were breathtaking. Highly recommend while you’re in Cappadocia.
Please put horse riding at Cemal's Ranch high on your list of things to do when you visit the Goreme region. The horses are beautifully cared for and loved and Cemal will choose just the right one for your level of experience. Ride through the valleys on a longer tour if you wish, or come back later as we did, for my son to go on the sunset tour to Sunset Point. He had such an amazing time and is still talking about it!!! I can't rate our experience at Cemal's Ranch highly enough.
The best experience on horse in Cappadocia! If you really want to enjoy the magic of this place with stunning and well cared horses, you must choose Cemal Ranch. The stuff is so kind and welcoming and they have well trained horses for all levels (important point for beginners). Sunrise ride with the valley full of ballons is something I’ll never forget, I tried the sunset ride as well and both of them are really impressive. I’m thankful for this amazing experience!

Our horseback tour with Cemal Ranch in May 2025 was deeply disappointing and, at times, unsafe. Booking through Viator was confusing -- the operator listed two tours with nearly identical names but at different price points ($66 vs. $126), with no clear explanation of the difference. The tour description on Viator also didn’t match how the tour played out. It described a “sunset ride” with views of cave dwellings pointed out by a “veteran guide” on “well-trained horses.” In practice, we got none of that. Our ride ended well before sunset, no sights were pointed out, and our horses were visibly skittish throughout. The guides were not professionals, just stable hands walking beside the horses. One looked no older than 14. The pre-tour communication was poor -- the operator wasn't responsive on WhatsApp, and oddly, had “disappearing messages” turned on. Pickup was included but disorganized -- a taxi with no clear signage showing that it was associated with the operator eventually located us after back-and-forth calls with the operator. When we arrived at the ranch, we were given tea. However, no safety briefing, helmets, or basic riding instruction were provided, which was surprising and unsettling. During the ride, the weather turned to rain and hail, visibly agitating the horses. My horse became so jumpy that I was worried it might throw me off. While the weather is no one’s fault, Cemal Ranch made no effort to monitor the forecast or offer cancellation beforehand. In the end, the ride was cut short to just one hour, with no explanation at the time of the event. We were fortunate to secure a refund via Viator. Had we paid the operator directly, we likely would have lost the money entirely. I would advice anyone looking for a horse riding tour in Cappadocia to avoid this operator.
Hi , I understand and respect all your concerns and will address these individuallyhowever the personal slur and speculation 'that you would have likely lost your money entirely ' was so offensive and total speculation on your part with no justification wjhatso ever . Also if you read all the details on Viator as a supplier we only get paid at the end of the month by viator so everyone can feel secure . In saying that in 20+ years of tourism I have NEVER not refunded if requested !! Many of your concerns can be explained off by the weather . We had appalling and unseasonal weather all through May at a times it said no rain and then we would have massive storms and then a few days later flooding and so it went on ...We monitor the weather forecasts but as everyone in the world knows these are never reliable. This was the reson your tour was cut short , this was the reason you had no sunset ( you dont get Sunsets when it is hailing )and because you had to turn back early and skittish horses also the weather was the reason. Your comments that the products look similar is the first time I have heard that so I will go in and make sure I check it . My very sincere apologies that you didnt feel that you got enough instruction or breifing . Usually we ask if people have ridden before and if they have had zero experience it is why we provide the stable hands to lead your horse.They look young and are Syrian refugees so we give them paid work after school. The youngest has been riding since he was 6 yrs old and is now 15 yrs. No other ranch has additional individuals beside you leading your.Its typically one leader for anywhere up to 123-15 riders which we do not like. Helmets are clearly on display and available to all.It would have been very simple to just ask as well as to indicate that you felt like a lesson first as the majority of our riders do not require this. I could keep going addressing every detail but the important thing is that you were uphappy and for that we sincerely apologise and you were apologised to on the day when your tour was cut short becuase of the awful weather and very unexpected hail. We have to give approval to Viator to enact the refund which we did, so you were fully compensated. Again my sincere apologies that your ride did not neet your expectations but in future when you write a review please do not speculate on a situation that did not happen and has never happened.To say that you would most likey have lost your money when no such thing happened is just not appropriate. We have 1093 reviews for Cemal Ranch and although we are not perfect, and in this case we did not meet your expectations, we do our best to provide for all the customers that book with us.
Best horse tour ever. We took it with my family and it was very comforting and they took best sunset pictures. We felt safe and loved giving business to the family stable that does right by their horses. I highly recommend it!!
Not sure why you're able to still book and pay for this activity as I don't believe it's still in business. I book everything based on reviews and this seemed the best, however looking into it more the last review left was August last year. Messaged this operator to check our pick up time and never got response. Was ready for 4am in case they decided to show up but never did. Viator not helpful at all, assured this place was still in business despite the fact they "could not reach" the operator.

It was a wonderful experience ! All the ranch staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rides are lovely and the horses well trained. 100% recommended.
