Gennemse det pulserende Centralmarked i Athen, besøg lokale butikker, bagerier, traditionelle taverner og restauranter og smag dig gennem Athen som en lokal!

Begynd din morgen med den dejlige smag af traditionelle græske tærter. Mød op på Syntagma-pladsen, hvor du vil blive introduceret til en række forskellige tærter, inklusive den elskede spanakopita, fyldt med spinat og fetaost. Dette vil være en perfekt start på din dag, og give dig en smag af den lokale morgenmadspris.
Kun en kort gåtur fra tærtebutikken besøger vi en lokal deli kendt for sit brede udvalg af græske oste og cremet græsk yoghurt. Her lærer du om ostefremstillingsprocessen i Grækenland og smager forskellige typer feta, sammen med andre regionale oste, ledsaget af rig, autentisk græsk yoghurt.
Når vi er på vej til det pulserende Monastiraki-område, kan du forberede din gane til et udvalg af pastourma og traditionelle græske pålæg. Du vil opleve de robuste smagsvarianter og krydderier, der gør disse kød til en fast bestanddel i det græske køkken.
Ingen græsk madtur ville være komplet uden oliven. Vi stopper ved en specialbutik, hvor du vil smage forskellige varianter af græske oliven, hver med sin unikke smagsprofil, lige fra den berømte Kalamata til de mindre kendte, men lige så lækre lokale varianter.

We did this tour on our first day in Greece and what an amazing experience it was! Our guide Sapfo was awesome! She’s friendly, kind as ver knowledgeable. She took us to places we may have missed on our own but were still able to find afterwards. We were stuffed by the middle of the tour but we really felt like we experienced Greek food. We sampled so many things that we were able to eat throughout our vacation. Thank you Sapfo! I’m so glad you were our guide. I’ll miss Greece but I plan to take as many foods with me as I can! This experience exceeded our expectations!

It was a fabulous tour with great food! Our guide, Debi, was great and very knowledgable. We went to several really neat places with delicious local food! Make sure and go hungry!! Sooo much good food!!

My guide Elias was terrific! He shared some history of Athens and Greece while walking to the various food venues and the market. The variety and quality of the food was outstanding. I loved seeing the various interesting neighborhoods. Great experience!!!

I booked and then they canceled on me I have yet to receive a refund Why would they let me book and then tell me they were full and I was canceled and then continue to send me emails to attend and then ask me to review trip they told me not to attend?!
The group was a good size, less than 10 people. The tour was 4 hours; we walked at a suitable pace, with many stops to hear and taste. I started the tour without breakfast at 10 am, and I was more than full by the end. We tasted pasties, cheese, sausages, ham, had a good lunch, and tasty cakes for dessert. Mini is an excellent host, very knowledgeable and friendly. We got a lot of information about Greek culture, traditions, history and of course about the food. She gave us some good tips on what to do in Athens and nearby. For me, it is very important to have a native host. Mini told us about her family traditions through the generations. I suggest the Greeking.me organised food tour for all Athens visitors.

This was one of the best tours I have taken. The young lady was very knowledgeable about the city and had good stories about the different places we stopped at. There was a lot of food to try.

Really wonderful experience. Eleni was knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We did go to places we never would have found on our own and we loved the extensiveness of this tour. We also learned a lot about Athens and Greece. We appreciated her knowledge and upbeat personality. It was such a pleasant experience. We also appreciated that there was no pressure to buy anything and this was not a commercial tour. The restaurant staff and shop keepers were just friendly and welcoming not trying to sell (we have been on other tours that were hard sells and did not like that). However, if we had wanted to buy something, like honey or olives, we could have --to take home. Great tour, highly recommend.
